Beware! Accusation Agents are around

This is the true happening that certain church encountered. The job of these recruited Accusation Agents is having the same purpose of Gossipers:-

1. Intent. Gossipers often have the goal of building themselves up by making others look bad and exalting themselves as some kind of repositories of knowledge.

2. The type of information shared. Gossipers speak of the faults and failings of others, or reveal potentially embarrassing or shameful details regarding the lives of others without their knowledge or approval. Even if they mean no harm, it is still gossip.

The Accusation Agents

“But when men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.” Matt 13:25

Accusation Agents – People who are being infested with false doctrines and recruited to became an accuser of church.

The target people to be recruited by whichever organisation who is seeking vengeance are as follows :-

1. Those people who are not strongly rooted in faith with our Holy Spirit.
– the biblical knowledge is shallow, these false prophets engaged the logical mind of young christians to influence and convince them of their doctrines and believes.

2. Those people who are strong in spirit and biblical knowledge but have lusts for authority, pride and other worldly things.
– the individuals’ desire to be the head over people, lusts for worldly things and also too much pride. These false prophets fulfilled their desires and recruited them.

3. Those people who are seeking vengeance against church.
– perhaps these group are the easiest target for the false prophets to recruitment them over, sharing with them the “same boat syndromes”, rubbing salt over their wounds and pouring kerosene over a burning fire to make them hate church more, gained their trust and using them as instrument to cause harm to church.

Beware! These Accusation Agents are around in many corners of church, their faked lights don’t last and true believers can easily test them by their Spiritual fruit!

Accusation Agents

My previous article had already reviewed much about the false prophets building church for their selfish purpose. The Evil Spirit of Jezebel is real and is already in operation in certain sector of the church influencing; not just the young christian, but also matured christians who had became their “boat people“. In certain occasion,  we must remind ourselves not to get too comfortable with one another. It is know fact that even your closest friend or someone you had mentored can fall into the lusts and prostitution business (symbolic meaning) of Jezebel without knowing. Had Adam not fallen even personally groomed by God? Had Judas who was one of Lord Jesus’ disciple not betrayed Him for money? You can read my notes Click here.  Being in “the boat” you cannot see Lord Jesus of His revelations about the evil spirit lurking in “the boat“. Thus, you need the people from outside of “the boat” to point out to you of these evil operation. Unfortunately, many could not accept nor face the truth being spoken. These prophets who was sent by our Lord Jesus had been rejected, abused, persecuted and worst off, being gossiped upon by “these boat people” who were being used by the evil spirit’s principalities and dark forces. (laterally destroying them). Why people behaved this way? It is PRIDE!

Listed below is the repeat of what I had writtened.

HOW TO GET RID OF THE CONTROLLING SPIRIT?

First, we must rid ourselves of Jezebel’s ways. We can not cast out lust when we harbor lust in our lives. We can not bring down a spirit of control if we use manipulation and hype to control our congregations. We must examine our own ways, and repent of Jezebel. Second, it takes Jehu. Although Elijah was Jezebel’s enemy, it took JEHU to trample Jezebel. Jehu took no prisoners and showed no mercy to Jezebel. He had singleness of purpose and was driven. As he approached Jezebel those who saw his chariot noted he “drives furiously” (2 Ki 9:20) When others offered peace and compromise, Jehu responded “How can there be peace as long as the harlotries and witchcrafts of Jezebel are many?” (2 Ki 9:22) Jehu would not rest until Jezebel was dead. Her pleasures could not attract him. Her threats did not deter him. He would not tolerate Jezebel.

Jesus says we too can not TOLERATE Jezebel. (Revelation 2:20) We must learn the prophetic power of the word “No!” We must give no ground!When Jezebel attempted to captivate Jehu, he did not even allow himself to be drawn into conversation with her. Instead, he called on her eunuchs to cast her down from her balcony. Those with the Jehu anointing will call to Jezebel’s emasculated slaves, and they too will cast her down!

Lastly as Lord Jesus had said “Vengeance belongs to to me; I will repay, says the Lord” Romans 12:9

“I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.” John 14:18

“But when men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.” Matt 13:25

This is a symbolic meaning of event, when men slept means when you are too comfortable like sleeping, not on guard, the false prophets will plant false doctrines, believes and accusations to the unsuspecting Christians and be “bought over” by them.
So it is prudent to be on guard at all time to lookout for these “enemies” lest they influence and take away your hard earned disciples.

“But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appear, so the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? how then does it have tares?’ He saidth them, ‘An ememy has done this.” The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up. ‘Let them both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn” Matt 13:26-30
The same similar meaning of Roman 12:19.

Don’t you want to have the gift of Wisdom and Discernment? You want to able to spot the “enemies” even before it can approach your farm! If you can’t recognise the enemy from approaching the farm, at least have the spiritual ability to pick up the bad seedling of tares before they grow with the wheat and entangled tightly with them such that it in not wiser for you to remove them because you will also removed the wheat who are closely entangled with them!

Lord Jesus had said ‘Let them both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn” Matt 13:30

Very important! In whatever steps you do, make sure our Holy Spirit is in control of your action, HE is your teach ALL teacher. “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, HE WILL TEACH YOU ALL THINGS, and bring to your remembrance all things that I have said to you.” John 14:26.

The Composite Churches

THE COMPOSITE CHURCH

What is the meaning of composite church?

In dictionary, the word composite means – made up of disparate or separate parts or elements; compound: a composite drawing; a composite philosophy.

The reason I am writing this article because of my suspicion that today’s churches are of composite churches operating in certain area that are against God as mentioned in the Book of Revelation chapter 2 and 3. Notice that Lord Jesus said “I know your works.” That means Lord Jesus is Omniscient; He is all knowing and all emcompassing, nothing can escape His wisdom and knowledge, no secret work can be hidden from Lord Jesus.
Letter to seven churches
Out of the seven churches, there is only Smyrna and Philadelphia that Lord Jesus did not rebuke. There is one church that is already dead but they would not admit and they continue to put up name as if they are still alive, that church is Sardis. We can be consoling ourselves that we are not one of them or even laughing at churches that has been rebuked by Lord Jesus, but the truth this, that church today’s are THE COMPOSITE church, which in certain area, or segment or in certain group had already been under the control by the evil Spirit of Jezebel; being seduced to worship Balak, practice the authorative mind control of Nicolaitans, left the first love, lukewarm or even dead. Do not be complacent henceforth, that you should have acknowledged being a COMPOSITE CHURCH, so that what the church needed to do now is to provide new training ground so that church member can be equiped with strong spiritual sensitivity and be able to discern whether known area have the operating Agenda of our Holy Spirit or of the devil.

The letters follow a general sevenfold pattern:

A greeting. To the angel of the church.

A reference to Christ’s self designation from Rev 1:12-19, this has some application to the letter to the church.

A commendation. I know your deeds… (except in case of Laodicea and Pergamum).

A rebuke if applicable (except in case of Smyrna and Philadelphia).

A charge to repent or a warning.

A call to hear. The phrase ‘He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches’.

A promise. The phrase ‘To him who overcomes’ followed by a reference to a reward mentioned later in Revelation.

Chapter 2

To the angel of the church of Ephesus write.

2-5 “I know your works, and that your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they apostles and are not, and have found them liars and you have persevered and have patience, and have labored for My name’s sake and have not become wary. Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place – unless you repent.

v4 – Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken your first love. – Rebuke: they had deeds but not their love for each other and Jesus as at first. The word used for love is agape a stronger form of love rather than phileo which is brotherly love. Agape most characterises the love that Christ has for us which is a deeply committed love and which depends more on the nature of the giver than the attractiveness of the one loved (cf. eros the love between lovers). We are to love one another as Christ has loved us (John 13:34), agape love and not just brotherly love. It is likely that they had lost their initial love for Christ which resulted in a lack of love for each other. This is the great test for the saints, do they love one another (1 Cor 13:3, John 13:35). Their testing of everyone to see whether they are false apostles or false brethren had created an atmosphere of mutual distrust in which love could not grow (Mounce).

v5 – Remember the height from which you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. –

Jesus now gives three steps to recovery:

i. Remember your former condition (stop and recall your love in the past, realise your current position and compare to how you used to be).

ii. Repent (change your direction, stop doing the negative)

iii. Do the things you did at first (do the positive, repentance is not just turning from wrong but also doing what is right).

9-10 “I know your works, tribulation, and poverty (but you are rich); and I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer, indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.”

v9 – I know your afflictions and your poverty–yet you are rich! – For the other churches (except Pergamum) Christ says ‘I know your deeds’ but here he says ‘I know your affliction and your poverty – yet you are rich’. They were physically poor but spiritually rich, contrast this with the Laodiceans who thought that they were rich but were poor, 3:17 (Jam 2:5). Physically the church in Smyrna suffered from persecution from the Jews and they were poor, they had few luxuries and possessions, yet spiritually they were rich in the sight of Christ. Jesus sees their affliction, he knows about it, this must be of comfort to this persecuted church.

v9 – I know the slander of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. – Again he says ‘I know the slander…’ he sees their situation, he is aware of it and its injustice, once again this must bring comfort to this church. These Jews follow Satan in slandering God’s people, the word Satan means accuser (12:10), but the Devil means slanderer. Behind these Jews stands Satan; it is he, not Abraham, who is their spiritual father, John 8:44, (Wilcock). Slander, that is telling lies to blacken the character of people, is one of Satan’s weapons against the church, see the river of lies, Rev 12:15. Again in the letter to Philadelphia there is a reference to those who claim but to be Jews but are liars, they are actually a synagogue of Satan (3:9). See also other examples of Jewish antagonism in Acts 13:45, 14:2, 17:5, 18:6, 25:7. Paul defines a real Jew not as one physically circumcised but as one circumcised in the heart by the Spirit (Rom 2:29) and who believes God just as Abraham believed God (Gal 3:6-7).

13-16 “I know your works, and where you dwell, where Satan’s throne is. And you hold fast to My name, and did not deny My faith even in the days in which Antipas was My faithful martyr, who was killed among you where Satan dwells. But I have a few things against you, because you have there those who hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit sexual immorality. Thus you also have those who hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate. Repent, or else I will come to you quickly and will fight against them with the sword of My mouth.”

v14 – Nevertheless, I have a few things against you: You have people there who hold to the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to entice the Israelites to sin by eating food sacrificed to idols and by committing sexual immorality. – While the church coped with the external threat of persecution it did not deal with the threat from within the church. They had been infiltrated by Satan’s servants who introduce destructive heresies. The book of Revelation is largely about the external enemies of the church yet we must not forget the false prophets within the church. The word of God warns us about false prophets, Mat 7:15, 24:24, 2 Pet 2:1, 1 John 4:1. In the letters to the seven churches Jesus is purifying his church so that it will cope with the coming persecution. For Balaam the false prophet see Numbers 22-25:3, 31:16, 2 Pet 2:15. He enticed God’s people to commit sexual immorality and bow down and eat food offered to idols, Num 31:16. These sins all involve spiritual and physical compromise with the world, the church of God is to be blameless and holy (11:2, 14:4-5, 20:6, 21:2). Idols are mentioned because God wants to purify his church of anything that resembles idolatry (2 Cor 6:12-7:1 cf. Rev 18:4) which is the fundamental sin of those who worship the beast and his image (cf. 13:14-15, 14:7, 9-12).

v14 – eating food sacrificed to idols and by committing sexual immorality – These are the same things mentioned in the letter to Thyatira, there they tolerated the woman Jezebel, who called herself a prophetess, but who by her teaching misleads God’s servants into sexual immorality and eating food sacrificed to idols, Rev 2:20. Paul covers these topics in 1 Cor they are also mentioned in Acts 15:28, these are clearly matters that troubled the Christians of the time, see Acts 15:28-29, 1 Cor 6:18, 8:1. They involve compromise with the world, the church is to be holy and separate from the world, in the world but not of it. John was clearly concerned by idolatry (1 John 5:21).

v15 – Likewise you also have those who hold to the teaching of the Nicolaitans. – For the relationship between the Nicolations and Balaam see Rev 2:6 in the letter to the Ephesians. They permitted compromise with the world. This heresy is one that all God’s people are tempted with throughout church history, it is nothing new. Another OT figure, Jezebel, is used while describing the same sins in Rev 2:20 again she compromises with the world. The saints are to be pure for they are the bride of Christ, Rev 14:4. False teaching is one of Satan’s main weapons against the church, see his river of lies (12:15). If he cannot destroy the church from without he will try to destroy it from within, in 2 Cor 11:13-15 Paul talks about Satan’s servants masquerading as apostles of Christ.
To the angel of the church in Thyatira write.

19-24 “I know your works, love, service, faith, and your patience, and as for your works, the last are more than the first. Nevertheless I have a few things against yhou, because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrifice to idols. And I gave her time to repent of her sexual immorality, and she did not repent. Indeed I will cast her into a sickbed, and thsoe who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds. I will kill her children with death, and all the churches shall know that I am He who searches the minds and hearts. And I will give to each one of you according to your works. Not to you I say, and to the rest in Thyatira, as many as do not have this doctrine, who have not known the depths of Satan, as they say, I will put on you no no other burden.”

v20 – Nevertheless, I have this against you: You tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess. By her teaching she misleads my servants into sexual immorality and the eating of food sacrificed to idols. – Despite their growing love and faith they tolerated evil in the form of Jezebel in their midst, she calls herself a prophetess but is in fact a false prophetess (Jezebel is transliterated from the Hebrew ‘Izevel meaning, ironically, chaste [Zodhiates]). Compare this church to the Ephesians who did not tolerate wicked men (Rev 2:2), Ephesus had truth and lost their love, but they had love but lost their love of the truth and permitted impure doctrine to be taught in the church resulting in impure acts. They had not guarded the truth entrusted to them, the church leaders had not guarded their flock as those in Ephesus had. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth (1 Cor 13:6). Doctrinal error leads to immorality but the truth leads to godliness (Tit 1:1). Sexual immorality and eating food sacrificed to idols are the same sins are mentioned at Pergamum. Jezebel brought idolatry into Ahab’s life, she urged him on in evil (1 King 21:25-26), especially idolatry and persecuted the prophets (2 King 9:7), note that as with Balaam in the letter to Pergamum in Rev 2:14 a famous OT figure is used to heighten the imagery. He also uses the word Jezebel because that is how God sees the prophetess. Jezebel killed the true prophets of God (1 King 18:4) and by her teaching here she is bringing spiritual death to those who follow her.

Since sexual immorality and eating sacrificed food to idols are mentioned in Acts 15:20 and in Corinthians 6:18, 8:1, we should take it literally. Eating food offered to idols would be a temptation with respect to the trade guilds which would have feasts involving food offered to idols and possibly sexual immorality. Once again spiritual compromise is warned against, James 4:4 warns that friendship with the world is hatred towards God, it is a form of spiritual adultery. In 18:4 the saints are warned to come out of Babylon so that they will not share in her sins or her punishment. The reason for his intolerance of evil is that he wants his bride to be pure cf. 14:4-5, Eph 5:27. See also comments on 2:14.

Chapter 3

To the angel of the church in Sardis write.

1-5 “I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead. Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die, for I have not found your works perfect before God. Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you. You have a few names even in Sardis who have not defiled their garments, and they shall walk with Me in white, for they are worthy. He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.”

v2 – Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your deeds complete in the sight of my God. – Spiritually they were asleep, Christ saw them as dead and so he commands them to Wake up! A better translation is ‘show yourself watchful’ (Mounce). They were like the five virgins who took their lamps with them to meet the bridegroom but did not take any oil (which stands for the Holy Spirit), when the bridegroom arrived they were not ready, Mat 25:1-13. We must be ready for Christ’s return which is referred to in the next verse (see also Mat 24:42 ff.). Their deeds were not complete, i.e. perfect, in God’s sight, they failed to come up to God’s standard, the implication in verse 4 of the soiled clothes is that sin was involved, it could more simply be that of neglect.

v3 – Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; obey it, and repent.- They were to remember the word of the gospel that gave them salvation obey it and repent (1 Cor 15:2). Clearly they had forgotten what the gospel meant, and had stopped growing and bearing fruit (Col 1:4-6). They needed once again to hear the gospel of their salvation and to respond to its message afresh. The historicist interpretation would point to Luther as an example of one who heard the gospel afresh and a new vibrant church was formed. The key to their state is to hear the word of God afresh. cf. 2 Pet 1:9. They also need to obey the word, they need to be doers of the word and not just hearers only (Jam 1:22). They also need to repent of their previous attitude, they must change their attitude, wake up and strengthen what remains.

v3 – But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you. – ‘I come like a thief’ is a reference to his unexpected second coming (cf. 16:15, 1 Thess 5:2-4, 2 Pet 3:10), he warns his church to keep watch, see the warning in Mat 24:42 to keep watch, ‘because you do not know on what day your Lord will come’. This is a reminder to them of the lack of vigilance of those in Sardis who were twice unexpectedly overcome by the enemy. It can also be taken to be a reference to his unexpected coming upon them in judgement (Mounce), but it is more likely the second coming he has in view (see the warnings in Mat 24:36-25:46). We should see this as a warning to the church to be awake at His return, this is in line with the message of Revelation which is to ensure that the church is ready for his return (1:3, 16:15, 18:4, 19:7, 22:7, 12-14).

8-11 “I know your works. See. I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name. Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie – indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you. Because you have kept My command to perservere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. Before, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown.”

v8 – I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name. – Commendation, there is no rebuke. Jesus is the one who walks among the churches and sees. Philadelphia, meanwhile, was on the main trade route between East and West, a situation that presented the believers with an open door for the gospel into the region beyond. Although they were a tiny group with little strength, theirs was a door that God had provided and therefore no-one could shut (Hill). They had kept his word and not denied Jesus, therefore he will acknowledge them before their enemies. Ramsay points out that the “open door” is a Pauline metaphor meaning a good opportunity, i.e. an open door, for missionary work, see Act 14:27, 1 Cor 16:9, 2 Cor 2:12, Col 4:3.

v9 – I will make those who are of the synagogue of Satan, who claim to be Jews though they are not, but are liars–I will make them come and fall down at your feet and acknowledge that I have loved you. – A synagogue of Satan is also referred to in the letter to Smyrna (2:9), the Jews follow Satan, whose name means slanderer, in slandering God’s people, clearly the Jews in particular were troubling these early churches as Acts demonstrates, Acts 13:45, 14:2, 17:5, 18:6, 25:7.

To the angel of the church in Laodiceans write.

15-20 “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’ – and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked – I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.”

v15 – I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! – He who walks among the churches sees their deeds. The water supply for the city of Laodicea came from hot springs some distance away so that it was lukewarm. There is more hope for the cold anti-Christian, such as Saul, than these lukewarm Christian who has lost his hunger for God.

v16 – So, because you are lukewarm–neither hot nor cold–I am about to spit you out of my mouth. – Literally he is about to vomit them out of his mouth. This shows his revulsion of these lukewarm Christians. The remedy is shown in verse 18 in which he counsels them to buy gold, white clothes and salve.

v17 – You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realise that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. – Their material wealth had blinded them to their true spiritual bankruptcy. The world had invaded this church, compare the similarity of her attitude with that of the harlot who said ”I sit as queen; I am not a widow, and I will never mourn’ (18:7). It is frequently noted that Laodicea prided itself on three things: financial wealth, an extensive textile industry, and a popular eye-salve which was exported around the world (Mounce). The church thought it was rich in her own eyes, but in the eyes of Christ it was poor. In Hosea 12:8 Ephraim boasts, ‘I am very rich; I have become wealthy. With all my wealth they will not find in me any iniquity or sin’. Compare the Laodiceans with the church in Smyrna who were afflicted and poor but in the Lord’s eyes were rich.

Their attitude was similar to that of the Pharisees who thought that they were healthy but were in fact sick (Mat 9:10-13), they thought that they could see but were blind (John 9:40-41, Mat 15:14). While they were not Pharisees their condition is similar which is why the Lord rebukes them. Their condition is dangerous because they do not realise it.

v18 – I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see. – Christ’s counsel to them is in three parts: to buy gold so that they become rich instead of being wretched, pitiful and poor; white clothes to cover their nakedness and salve for their blind eyes so that they can see.

v18 – I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire – This is gospel buying without price (Isa 55:1, Rev 21:6), true riches without price, i.e. salvation that is free. In 22:6 God offers freely to the thirsty to drink from the spring of the water of life, in 22:17 the invitation to the thirsty is given by the church to take the free gift of the water of life. The Laodiceans were relying on their own riches without faith in Christ. The gold represents faith in Christ, see 1 Pet 1:7, rather than trusting in their own wealth which perishes. They can only get this gold from Christ. They cannot take their wealth with them after death, but their labour of faith follows them (14:13).

v18 – white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; – Originally Adam and Eve were naked but felt no shame (Gen 2:25), but then after they sinned they were ashamed of their nakedness and sewed fig leaves to cover their nakedness (Gen 3:7). In 16:15 at the second coming Christ calls blessed is ‘he who stays awake and keeps his clothes with him, so that he may not go naked and be shamefully exposed.’ In 3:4-5 those in Sardis who have not soiled their clothes will walk with Christ dressed in white because they are worthy. Those in Laodicea did not even have any clothes, they were naked, they have to come to Christ to get clothes to cover their sins. Joshua the high priest was dressed in filthy clothes in Zec 3:3-4, he was given new rich garments after his sin was taken away. These clothes are the white clothes of righteousness (Isa 61:10). Throughout Revelation white garments stand for righteousness (6:11, 7:9, 7:14, 19:8, 19:14), in 7:14 they are said to have ‘washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.’

v18 – and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see. – They do not even realise their nakedness and need their spiritual eyes opened so that they can see their condition. Laodicea was famous for its eye salve. Once again they must buy this from Christ.

Summary, please stop and do some self examination:-

For the church, try to understand as I explain in parable. You may see the church as a fruit tree but there are certain branches that are producing bad fruits, the church has to find out which root (root cause or which part fallen from first love) had been rotten and must identify the worms that is attacking it to cause it to rot. The church needs to spent time and effort to uncover many ground to discover it.

For individual, especial those running as Cell Group leader.

Do you practice mind control?

Do you find yourself using manipulation and hype to control people under your charge?

Are you feeling that your leadership is being threaten and you must do something such punishment to exert authority over your members?

Are you quick to get angry over member breaking your “internalised rules” and you do not hesistate to meed out punishment on to them?

If your answer to the above question is “yes” You are in danger of being control by the evil spirit of Jezebel. You need to repent and to the extent of deliverance.

Do you have lusts for authority, adultery, material gain such as money?

If “Yes”,You need to ask for the blood of Lord Jesus to cleanse you of these lusts.

Do you find yourself bearing the spiritual fruit?

3.Peace

4.Patient Endurance

5.Kindness

6.Goodness

7.Faith and Faithfulness

8.Gentleness

9.Self-Discipline

(Galatians 5:22-23)

If you find that you don’t possess ALL of the above spiritual fruit, then your spirit life is in big question, are you reborn?

Lastly, do you receive Visions, dreams or revelations personaly from our Holy Spirit (Lord Jesus) or from Angels? If your answer is “No”. Then, perhaps you do not have our Holy Spirit in full control of your life. You need to pray for deep rooting with our Holy Spirit.

The Asia Conference 2010 and Church Growth International Conference kick off on 26/5/2010 with man of God, Rev Dr David Yonggi Cho and the finale on 30/5/2010 with a closing sermon by man of God, Rev Dr A.R. Bernard.

Day 1-26/5/2010 am Session

Opening sermon by Rev Dr David Yonggi Cho, his speech was very soft. We can feel that he was weak, my youngest sister Laura couldn’t hear what he was speaking. Fortunately, I could hear, having to stretch my neck long to catch most of his spoken words. This man of God, is speaking about fourth dimension living in the third dimension world. Documented speech as follows:-

Genesis 1:2 Earth was without forms, empty. Fourth dimension, operation of Spirit of the Lord.
There is a secret to change, create, recreate and repair in the fourth dimension. God been doing for the Israelites many things in the third dimension. But God told me that I could do much more with Holy Spirit in the fourth dimension.
Nothing can overcome me, the Holy Spirit is with me. Vision and dreams are very important.
God said to me to come out of my tent (symbolic meaning of self in 3rd dimension) and look to the sky (4th dimension). Abraham has been living in fourth dimension, counting the stars.
While I had planted 1 million conferences worldwide.
Lazurus’s fourth dimension was good but his third dimension was bad. 60 year ago Korean was very poor. I must preach the Gospel of Jesus, about the fourth dimension to get out of poverty.
I received revelations by reading Bible. Your speech in third dimension, you can hear but God’s word penetrate the fourth dimension. I said to God, if there is no healing, we are together we will fall together but God healed.
When you speak in faith, your word is in the fourth dimension.
God come to me in the fourth dimension, my thoughts, my heart and faith, dreams and Vision. We must have total positive thinking.

He also cautioned the audience not to pray casually or half-heartedly, but on the inside, pray from a place of conviction and deep faith. “Say, I am blessed with an Abrahamic blessing.” Don’t pray casually for your blessings.

People do not know how to apply biblical promises to their practical lives because they are living in the Third Dimensional world. We need to move into the Fourth Dimensional realm, to think, dream and speak according to the Scriptures in order for God’s blessings to flow upon us and through us.

In a Village in certain part of South Korea (apology I can’t hear clearly), those who dreamed twin will have twin, so it is the dream that move the DNA change, and that caused the village to have many people bearing twins. I went there and pray for them, tell them to have picture of pretty baby in their heart. So the people did have picture in their heart of pretty baby not dream, and that helps them to have pretty baby.
I cannot make money by myself but “with prayer and dream, it can be done. You to engage in prayer visualizing in the fourth dimension and with strong faith, it will materialized in the third dimension world. That was how we can built a 750,000 member Church, now 820,000 and still growing.

He ended with a powerful word of encouragement for the audience, saying “Being Christians, life without miracles is no life at all. When you live by the Fourth Dimension, you can do the work of 100 men, and you will witness miracles.”

Day 1-26/5/2010 afternoon Session

Pringle talked about the sword of the Spirit how the church grows in a climate of war, and how the saints must be prepared to brandish their sword which is the Word of God and prayer and push back the forces of darkness.
2Chronicles 7:14 “if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
Most people were seeking God’s hand instead of his face. Hands for healing the sick and touching people. People just don’t realize that it is important to seek the face of Lord Jesus. When you seek the face of God, you communicate with him. You don’t just speak to God face to face just like that, you need to pray. Prayer will connect you to God to seek his face. Even your angels are seeking the face of God daily. You must be humble before God, have good prayer life.

Mattew 18:10 “Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones., for I say to you that in heaven their angels always see the face of My Father who is in heaven.”

James 5:13 “Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms.”
James 5:16-18 “Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. Elijah was a man with nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit.”
Effective prayer must have passion. We pray for the anointing of Elijah on every Church today. Hallelujah! Praise the Lord.

Getting Back Into A Position Of Influence

Delegates left on Thursday morning all challenged even as they were charged with the responsibility of restoring the church as a transformative force in society. With the True Worshippers leading praise and worship, Dr. Steve Munsey giving a dramatic offering message, and Dr. A.R. Bernard preaching an edifying word that left the air tingling, it was impossible to be left untouched.

Bernard’s spellbinding message was on restoration and transformation of the church to its former position as a transformative engine of society, Bernard urged members to have focus both individually, as well as corporately as the body of Christ.

The Cultural Mandate, he explained, was a call for the church to transform person and place. In the ministry of Jesus, you can see this transformation of person and place. Jesus spoke to the woman at the well and transformed her. She then went back and told all the people in the town, and they came to hear Him speak. Hence the Cultural Mandate is to cause a person to be ignited and filled with the desire to transform their communities.

Bernard explained how Jesus’ ministry was meant to transform society, restoring it to the original intent and purpose of God. Even the Cosmos had left the original purpose. John Chapter 1 tells the sequential unfolding of the creation. Bernard explained how Jesus’ ministry was meant to transform society, restoring it to the original intent and purpose of God. There was an original order, but this intention was undermined by certain forces. In his ministry of reconciliation, Jesus went back to this original order, this original perspective. I like to call it cosmology, or worldview.

The Church, as the body of Christ, is meant to continue this ministry of reconciliation. However, Bernard said, the church has since lost its focus. He related a conversation he had with South African archbishop Desmond Tutu, in which Tutu said to him, During apartheid, the church knew what it was against, but now that that’s over, the church doesn’t know what it’s for. If you don’t know your purpose, someone can then give you a purpose that’s not your purpose, and you end up wasting time and resources on distractions. And you work on his purpose instead of God’s. Bernard cautioned. He attributed this lack of purpose to the church as a whole losing its focus on its restorative mission.

Purposes guide your activities. Why am I here? guides What am I doing here? Don’t confuse movement with progress. We can move and move, but get nowhere it’s called going in circles. Be clear about what your purpose is because it determines who or what you’re going to get involved with.

Jesus is the word, in restoring order of the original purpose of God. You need to know your purpose for God in this world.

Stay focus on your purpose for God. Focus is very important. In order to focus, we have to look at the following:
1. Clearly articulated worldview (cosmology), Biblical worldview.
2. Core values. (With Biblical values.)
3. Core purposes.
This is true for a person, a business, a ministry or a church. When you have core value, you are protected from corruption. Core value for economy are for selfish purpose.
Purpose is what you suppose to do or intend to do. Don’t confuse moment with progress.

When you involve with someone, you are involved in their moment and progress. Selfish purpose reaps corruption.
In the world today, the financial system is enslaving you to be a borrower to the lender. Jesus wants you to be lender.
It is all about the theory of Man and theory of place.

Jesus considered the cosmos a system. Society is a system, politics is a system, and the world is a system that has enslaved humankind. When the Bible says that we are of the world, it means that we’re enslaved by the system and its values and purposes. The gates of hell are all about protecting the system. The Bible says, the truth shall make you free. Free from what? Free from the system.

The condemnation of man is that there is a light, but man would rather choose the darkness. Without the light, it is possible for the darkness to cloak itself, but now that Jesus has brought the truth and the light, we can see the system for what it truly is. The audience showed their agreement with a chorus of “Yes” and “Amen” at each juncture.

Bernard called for the church to be restored as a force for societal change. He quoted historian Edward Gibbon, who identified five reasons for early Christianity’s influence on the Roman Empire:-

1. The Romans were impressed by the uncompromising zeal of the Christian conviction, Christianity, for them, was not a preference. They strongly and deeply believed in Christ, in his life, in his death, and in the power of his resurrection.

At that time, the church was primarily made up of Jews. The Jews were isolationists because they believed that Gentiles were unclean. However, the Christian church had the same zeal, but there was an absence of a narrow, unsocial spirit. They were willing to get involved in the community of Rome, and that impressed the Romans. In those days Gentiles were called dog.

Matthew 15:25-28 “Then she came and worshipped Him, saying, “Lord, help me!” But He answered and said, It is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the little dogs.  And she said, “Yes Lord, yet even the little dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.” The Jesus answered and said to her, “O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire.”  And her daughter was healed from that very hour.”

2. The Church had a doctrine of present and future, with the improvement of the human condition. The church was willing to bring change, and address the issues and needs of the human condition.
3. The miraculous powers experienced in the church deeply impressed the Romans. It showed that they were not just people who talked philosophy they had power. There were miracles, and healing from injuries, illnesses or demon-possession. It showed that this is a God who’s present, who is powerful and authoritative!
4. The pure and austere moral and spiritual disciplines practiced by the Christians showed the Romans that they were serious about their faith. They fasted, they engaged in disciplines of prayer, of giving, of Scripture. They had a set of moral and spiritual disciplines that impressed the Roman Empire.
5. The church had a uniting presence in the Empire. They had the power to bring people together under the banner of faith such that they became an independent force in the heart of the Empire.

Despite successes in the early years, the church lost many of these characteristics over its two-thousand-year history. Isolation from society and from the present issues of the day caused the church to become irrelevant; a move toward intellectualism and rationalism discouraged Christians from believing in miracles, robbing the church of its power; the church became intoxicated by power and lost its values and purposes, and eventually, became more a divisive force than a unifying one.

But, the time has come for the church to be restored such that it can transform, and in turn, restore the world to God’s original purpose. Referencing the Azusa Street Revival in Los Angeles in 1906, Bernard said that the Holy Spirit started with the miraculous to bring back all the other characteristics that made the early church successful.

Added notes: Christianity also answered cultural and spiritual needs – especially but not exclusively among the poor – left untended by mainstream Roman religion and culture. Roman values had stressed political goals and ethics suitable for life in this world. They did not join peoples of the empire in more spiritual loyalties, and they did not offer many emotionally satisfying rituals. Adherents of the new religion clashed with Roman authorities, to be sure. Paul’s conversion to Christianity proved vital. Paul was Jewish, but he had been born in a Greek city and was familiar with Greco-Roman culture. He helped explain basic Christian beliefs in terms other adherents of this culture could grasp, and he preached in Greece and Italy as well as the Middle East. Paul essentially created Christian theology, as a set of intellectual principles that followed from, but generalized, the message of Jesus. Paul also modified certain initial Christian impulses. Jesus himself had drawn a large number of women followers, but Paul emphasized women’s subordination to men and the dangers of sexuality. It was Paul’s stress on Christianity as a universal religion, requiring abandonment of other religious beliefs, and his related use of Greek – the dominant language of the day throughout the eastern Mediterranean – that particularly transformed the new faith.
Christ in culture is to engage, not to compromise.
Now Christians waived the power of Holy Spirit and that’s why there is no miracles. Christians today are getting intoxicated by doctrine. In conclusion we have to bring those values that had impact many people in the Roman Empire era back.

Yes! Everyone shouted in jubilation “Bring them back! Bring them back!
Rev Dr A.R. Bernard had helped me fully understand the message in Matthew 15:25-28 The Gentiles were called dogs by the Jews, that was the reason why the woman associate herself as dog.

Dr Lee Young-Hoon

On Day Two of CGI-AC 2010, Dr. Lee Young-Hoon, senior pastor of Yoido Full Gospel Church in Seoul, South Korea, told the humble history of YFGC: how it started with five people 52 years ago and grew to become the world’s largest church. Lee?s session was hotly anticipated as he shared what leaders and believers around the world all want to know: the secrets to YFGC’s success.

Lee cautioned that the purpose of church growth should be greater evangelism, not growth for growth’s sake. Church growth is the work of God, said Lee, and not the work of man. Christians first have to humble themselves and give glory to God, for He has blessed us with the gift of imagination.

The first secret of YFGC’s success is its powerful message. Founded shortly after the Korean War, the church ministered to a country reeling from the ravages of war. Its simple message of hope in Jesus Christ sparked the fire of revival. It was the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, says Lee, that helped to birth so many successful ministries over the years.

Centered around the five-fold gospel (salvation, true fullness of the Holy Spirit, divine healing, blessing and the second coming of Jesus Christ), YFGC went from strength to strength under the leadership of Dr. David Yonggi Cho.

Cho taught his church the principles of Fourth Dimensional Living in a Three Dimensional world. Lee re-emphasized the four steps to walking in the Fourth Dimension: thinking, visions anddreams, faith and the proclamation of God’s Word.

YFGC’s second secret is that it does the work of the Holy Spirit.

Lee shared how his previous church was stuck at a plateau: it had 300 members, but the fervency of its members was waning. He began to cry out to God, and finally received a revelation that he had to lead his people out of a “slavery attitude”, an attitude of constant complaint. He was reminded of Moses leading the Israelite nation out of Egypt. Just as Moses had prayed for God to provide the needs of the people, so Lee needed to trust in the provision of God. He realized that the growth of the church was too much for his own strength, and that it had to be committed to God in prayer. Isaiah 43:18-19 “Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.”

Lee exhorted the church, We need the wind of the Holy Spirit! Let the wind blow! When the Holy Spirit moves in the church, its members grow individually; when that happens, the church grows as a whole.

The last secret of YFGC’s success is its strong prayer culture.

The amount of prayer needed, Lee explained, is dependent on how much work needs to be done. He cited Jesus as an example. To fuel His powerful ministry, Jesus first had to pray and fast for 40 days in the desert.

I could only pray for less than five minutes! Lee admitted of his early Christian life. However, after being baptized in the Holy Spirit, he found that he was increasingly able to pray, sometimes surprising himself by praying for more than an hour.

His church began to see exponential growth as his devotion to prayer grew. He got the church to hold regular prayer meetings at 5 a.m. weekly, and also held one before its service on Friday night.

As the church prays, he explained, the members begin to see that prayer moves God’s hands, and miracles happen.

Gospel is produce by the death and resurrection of Lord Jesus Christ. Salvation of Jesus :-

Redemption from Sins. Mentally, we are sick inside and physically we are hungry. Lord Jesus took over all our sins at the cross, so that the Gospel of righteousness, of divine healing brought us eternal life. We have only one Gospel, Gospel of Jesus Christ.

2Cort 4:9-10 “But now after you have known God, or rather are known by God, how is it that you turn again to the weak and beggarly elements, to which you desire again to be in bondage?”

God said to Dr Yonggi Cho “My grace is sufficient for you.” Rev Dr Yonggi Cho suffered from tuberculosis but he pray to Lord Jesus “By His stripes we are healed.” Isaiah 53:5 Nothing can overcome the power of the word of God.

2Corinthians 4:8-10 “We are hard pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken, struck down, but not destroyed, always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may manifested in our body.”

Lee explains, God waits until we pray before He can begin to do the good work. We have to pray to receive new strength to overcome the difficulties in our lives. It is also important to have a pure heart, a heart of repentance from our sin, for God to answer our prayers.

YGFC’s strong focus on prayer has led them to establish prayer meetings that are broadcast on satellite all around the world. The church is so committed to prayer that the only time they would stop praying is during meal times, joked Lee.

Lee ended the session by praying over the congregation, asking that God show them how to pray, that they might produce the workings of the Holy Spirit in their lives and in their countries. He prayed that they would do miracles in Asia and the world.

26/6/2010 – Afternoon, Elective workshop. Creative preaching

Steve Munsey dramatised his preaching based on a servant of God name Job. He acted up the episode of Job Chapter 1 and 2. Today’s message is about how will realised whatever that Satan had stolen, you can demand back from it seven times. I had decided that today’s Title is “Protector of the Altar.”

He said Job was a very rich man our modern time, there is a symbolic meaning to his possessions.

Seven thousand sheep is an equivalent to huge clothing mega store selling all the branded clothing.

Three hundred thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen and five hundred female donkeys represents seeds time and his harvest. He leading a contented and happy life. The:-

6 One day the angels came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came with them. 7 The LORD said to Satan, “Where have you come from?” Satan answered the LORD, “From roaming through the earth and going back and forth in it.” 8 Then the LORD said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil.” 9 “Does Job fear God for nothing?” Satan replied. 10 “Have you not put a hedge around him and his household and everything he has? You have blessed the work of his hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land. 11 But stretch out your hand and strike everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your face.” 12 The LORD said to Satan, “Very well, then, everything he has is in your hands, but on the man himself do not lay a finger.”
Then Satan went out from the presence of the LORD.”

13 One day when Job’s sons and daughters were feasting and drinking wine at the oldest brother’s house, 14 a messenger came to Job and said, “The oxen were plowing and the donkeys were grazing nearby, 15 and the Sabeans attacked and carried them off. They put the servants to the sword, and I am the only one who has escaped to tell you!” 16 While he was still speaking, another messenger came and said, “The fire of God fell from the sky and burned up the sheep and the servants, and I am the only one who has escaped to tell you!” 17 While he was still speaking, another messenger came and said, “The Chaldeans formed three raiding parties and swept down on your camels and carried them off. They put the servants to the sword, and I am the only one who has escaped to tell you!” 18 While he was still speaking, yet another messenger came and said, “Your sons and daughters were feasting and drinking wine at the oldest brother’s house, 19 when suddenly a mighty wind swept in from the desert and struck the four corners of the house. It collapsed on them and they are dead, and I am the only one who has escaped to tell you!”

His wife asked him to curse God and die but he didn’t.

At this point, Steve Munsey, in his creativity preaching dramatized strongly this part to the closing of Job’s story.

Job lost everything, he has nothing to offer. He resume his duty as Protector of the Altar. He tore and ripped off his robe and place them on the alter table, shaved his hair and placed his log of hair onto the altar and worshiped God.

“Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will depart. The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away; may the name of the LORD be praised. In all this, Job did not sin by charging God with wrongdoing.”

In the end, God rewarded Job doubled of what he had lost

27/5/10 – Afternoon session

Tan Sri (Dr.) Prince Guneratnam
Guneratnam began his 30-minute session with a quote from Romans 3:3. He said that when God makes a promise to us, it is His responsibility to bring the promise to pass. His emphasis on the point that “God is faithful, and every man is a liar was liberally scattered throughout session, each time drawing out loud choruses of “Yes” and “Amen” from the capacity crowds at Halls 8 and 10 in Singapore Expo.

The difference between Jews and us Gentiles, said Prince, is just that they were called to be caretakers of God’s work; God is no respecter of man.  He explained that Christians have power over every circumstance and obstacle in their life, not just because they are faithful in going to church, but because they believe in what He says. That is important to know because many visions and dreams are going to draw derision and ridicule from other people, even those close to us. We need something to help us get past these negative comments and that is our strong belief in what God speaks to us through those visions and dreams.

Roman 3:4 “That you may be justified in your words. And may overcome when you are judged. “
If God gave you vision or prophecy, it doesn’t matter if people believe you or not, because if it is truly from God, it will surely come to pass. So does it matter if people believe you or not?
When God give you Vision, it is God’s duty to make it to past. Very often the Devil will stand in the way to block, but with good faith and power of the Holy Spirit, in Jesus’ name, the devil can’t do anything.

Every vision has two elements: breaking and making, and it is vital that we are not hindered by the breaking. God spoke to Jeremiah if he can break him like pottery.

The LORD told Jeremiah, “Go and buy a clay jar from a potter. Take with you some of the leaders of the people and some of the leaders of the priests. Go out to the part of the Hinnom Valley which is near the entrance of the Potsherd Gate. Announce there what I tell you. (Jeremiah 19:1-2)

The LORD continued, “Now break the jar in front of those who have come here with you. Tell them the LORD who rules over all says, I will do just as Jeremiah has done. I will smash this nation and this city as though it were a potter’s vessel which is broken beyond repair. The dead will be buried here in Topheth until there is no more room to bury them.” (Jeremiah 19:10-11 NET)

One thing is true, God work through minority not the majority. God is not biased to any races. How do you handle the source that you receive? He shared three ways to keep our focus on God and fulfill the vision He has for us:-

Firstly, ensure the source of the vision is from God. Many times, dreams are borne out of jealousy we want to emulate someone with a successful career or a powerful ministry. Not only are we wasting time, we are also not fulfilling the vision God has for us.

Next, if God is indeed the source, depend on Him and make Him your resource. If God put a vision in you, He will fulfill it through you. The key to unlocking His resources is to use the resources you already have. God will pour out on us what we are not afraid to pour out on others. God’s giving is based on our surrendering. Guneratnam shared about the boy in Mark 6 who willingly gave up his five loaves and two fishes, enabling Jesus to produce a miracle that fed more than 5,000 people.

The third point is that we should not let our dreams intimidate us. The dreams that God gives are always bigger than our current ability. When his church was seeking to build a larger worship location in downtown Kuala Lumpur, Guneratnam was faced with a stream of obstacles. He realized that sometimes Christians have to make a decision to either believe that visions and dreams can come to pass or stumble in their faith. One can choose to believe in a limitless God or to believe in the limit of one’s ability.

Guneratnam’s message stirred up the faith in the hearts of every believer in the room.

((Message by Guneratnam came upon me like anointing of new oil, gift of Faith. I was quite disappointed that far away country can associate, read and give honour to what I wrote but not my own country people. It doesn’t matter if own country people believe or not. Thank you Father Jesus.))

John Avanzini

Rev John Avanzini spoke about the important of offerings and giving tithes to the House of God. Wonderful Bible verses he shared :-
2 Corinthians 8:3 “For I bear withness that according to their ability, yes, and beyond their ability, they were freely willing. ”
2 Corinthians 9:3 Yet I have sent the brethren, lest our boasting of you should be in vain in this respect, that as I said, you may be ready.

Phil Pringle

Anointing prayer for Asia. Many fell under the power of our Lord, the Holy Spirit. But Asia Conference 2008 seems to be more anointed then Asia Conference 2010.

Now, all warmed up, the congregation greeted Pringle with loud applause as he stepped on stage. The preacher, known for his inspiring sermons and artistic flair, introduced wife Christine and daughter Rebekah to the conference attendees. The banter shared by the Pringles had the audience in stitches, especially when Rebekah called her parents Pastor Phil and Pastor Chris, much to their astonishment.

Pringle proceeded to move in a completely different direction than his first session, in which he taught on the power of prayer as he painted on stage.

As the C3 Band segued into an anointed worship song, “Holy”, Pringle walked the stage and waited on the Spirit. He dedicated the session to praying for the different nations. He started to call up pastors from different nations. All across the auditorium, people began to run up to the stage, and Pringle laid hands on them and prayed over them for strength and growth in their churches.

Pringle called up all Chinese pastors to come on the stage first, followed by pastors from India, pastors from Pakistan and Vietnam and Cambodia.

The pastor, who moves in a powerful prophetic anointing, prayed over some of them, singling out particularly pastors to pray and prophesy over. One Indian pastor was asked the size of his congregation, and he replied, “60.” Pringle prayed over him and challenged him to believe for 6,000. Some delegates from Pakistan were seen doing the bear hugging Phil Pringle like their spiritual father. It was quite candid to see some Indians and Pakistan delegates still staying on stage even though Phil Pringle had dismiss them so that other country delegate can come up.

In ending the session, Pringle invited the American preachers present to go up on stage, while he directed the rest of the congregation to pray for the churches in the USA to catch the passion and power of God once again. It was a sight to see such great and anointed men of God as Dr. Casey Treat, senior minister of Christian Faith Center and Dr. John Avanzini of Avanzini Ministries crying out to God for a fresh anointing and fire of God for America.

The evening kept the attendees in eager expectation for what amazing things God would do over the next few days of the conference.

28/5/2010 – Morning session

On Friday morning the third day of the conference and a public holiday in Singapore a long queue had formed outside Singapore Expo Hall 8 by 7 a.m. There were many people eager to hear Dr. David Yonggi Cho speak in his second session at the CGI-Asia Conference 2010.

The session kicked off with an inspiring time of praise and worship, led by the City Harvest Church worship team who created a Spirit-filled atmosphere in preparation of the message that was to come. Attendees watched a video of CityCare’s disaster relief efforts in Haiti following the January 12 earthquake this year. Directors of CityCare, Koh Chye Soon and Victor Lim Fei, appeared on stage to tell the congregation about the organization and its work in Carrefour, Port-au-Prince, the nerve center of the devastation.

CHC senior pastor, Dr. Kong Hee also invited on stage Terry Nelson of Light Ministries, Orlando, a missionary who has been in Haiti for 28 years, during which he has set up a ministry and even adopted three Haitian children. CityCare worked closely with Nelson to bring medical help, medicine and aid items into Haiti, helping some 20,000 Haitians.

Nelson told of how, after the earthquake, more than 2,000 Haitians were added to the church in three months. He described how the people had witnessed the goodness of the Lord through CityCare’s aid and how they noticed that the Christians homes were the ones left standing in a sea of rubble. Haiti being a country steeped in voodoo, Nelson also described how demonized people would manifest in buses, and the bus drivers would open the windows as they drove past the church in order for the Christians to pray for them. He concluded, This move of God transformed them from religion to relationship.

Kong then invited Dr. Casey Treat to lead the congregation in prayer for Haiti and Nelson.

The congregation rose to its feet as Kong affectionately introduced the next guest as being one of three women in his life who could rebuke him. The first two are his mother and his wife, the final one is Dr. Kim Sung-Hae, Cho’s wife.

Kim, a trained concert pianist, looked regal in her cream suit as she prepared to play. Kim introduced the Franz Liszt piece by citing John 4:13-14, before she launched into a light and lyrical performance that segued into “Amazing Grace”, drawing applause from the audience, who sang along softly.

To introduce Cho, Dr. Paul Kim, executive director of CGI, took to the stage to introduce the Korean pastors and disciples of Cho, calling them his spiritual children. He introduced the board members from CGI who were present, among them Phil Pringle, Prince Guneratnam, Richard Bernal and Ken Eldred. Kim also announced that Alex Abraham from Indonesia had been invited to join them as the newest board member.

A video on the far-reaching works of Yoido Full Gospel Church was screened; the congregation was privy to such sights as the Choi Ja-Shil Prayer Mountain, Elim Welfare Town, and Hansei University.

The high-spirited Kim then got the congregation to lift up their right hand, and shout “Hallelujah” to greet Cho as he came to the pulpit. Cho began simply, sharing how he had always struggled to preach the gospel of hope, as he saw many who were sick. He would pray for words of encouragement in order to bring hope, strength, courage and power to others, and has been doing so for the last 50 years.

The message focused on the five-fold gospel of Christ simple, yet carrying a power-packed punch as it was delivered by a man who had lived it out.

The five-fold gospel consists of the gospel of: salvation, the fullness of the Holy Spirit, divine healing, blessing, and of the second coming of Jesus Christ. Drawing the crowd’s attention to 2 Corinthians 4:10, Cho exhorted them to always remember Jesus’ death and resurrection, and to carry the memory of His death alive in their hearts. By so doing, they will also remember that His death brought them righteousness, which will be manifested through their body as well.

Likening himself to the Apostle Paul, Cho shared that there was a period of time in his life, when although he looked strong on the outside, he was so weak on the inside that he could not even bear to let his wife know his pain. Looking at all the healings and miracles that God did through his hand, he asked the Father not to forget about him and his own pain. God replied, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. This caused laughter in the audience, and also understanding nods.

As Cho introduced the second gospel of divine healing, he told the congregation how he was once scheduled to speak, but he was so sick he was not able to stand or move his body. However, as he confessed continually, By His stripes, I am healed, Cho gradually got well enough to preach. As the power of God touched him, he forgot he was weak and ministered to the people powerfully.

The third gospel of blessing: Cho taught that believers are a source of blessing, just like Abraham. He encouraged those present to proclaim, not beg for the blessings of God. He said, After 50 years of ministry, I have realized, when I had the most money, I did the most work.

Cho then taught the final gospel of blessing, that a believer’s life is controlled by his or her self-vision. Again, Cho stressed the importance of carrying the memory of Jesus’ redemptive work on the Cross. He declared that God is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob: the God of millionaires and billionaires. He encouraged the congregation never to feel inferior as they are more than conquerors, saying, “You will struggle, but you should move on.”

Impressed by the people attending and serving at the conference, Cho declared, When I look at you, you will have far better than I had. Unexpectedly, the legendary pastor spoke directly to Kong, Kong Hee, I encourage you. You belong to the younger generation. God loves you. Be very bold.

Cho then drew the message to a close by sharing his motto with the crowd, citing 3 John 2, Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.

He also gave thanks to America, for it was from that nation that the gospel flowed to Asia initially. He said that Asia has now grown up and is starting to reach out with the gospel and a helping hand a word that drew loud cheers from the congregation as the session ended.

28/5/2010 – Evening session

Reinhard Bonnke

Bonnke, who hails from Eastern Germany, related how God had shown His hand through his ancestry. In 1922, his grandfather suffered from an illness that gave him such excruciating pains that he could not be touched. However, one day, an elderly American missionary arrived at the German village where they lived. He entered Bonnke’s parents house and prayed for his grandfather and the man was ompletely healed.

On another occasion, Bonnke was in need of $50 when he felt the Holy Spirit ask him if he wanted one million dollars. Bonnke then replied that he was not asking God for one million dollars, but for one million souls that was the biggest purpose of his life and ministry. In response, the Holy Spirit told Bonnke that he would plunder hell and populate heaven for Calvary’s sake. Shortly after, Bonnke saw the vision of a map of the entire Africa washed in the blood of Jesus.

At the beginning of his ministry, God showed Bonnke a stadium, and told him he would preach there. At his first evangelistic meeting at the stadium, only 100 people turned up. Disheartened, Bonnke began to preach to the 100 when suddenly, in the midst of his sermon, a member of the audience jumped up and began to shout that he had been healed. Several others did the same. Bonnke was amazed, because he had not even been preaching about healing. Right there and then, he realized that Jesus longs to do great things in the present, no matter what the circumstances may be.

Thereafter, the stadium was packed every day. A woman who had been healed of her blindness spread the word of her miracle. God began to show Bonnke that nothing would limit Him, He had no maximum. 75,000 people attended his crusade in Cape Town and another 200,000 in Kenya. During one crusade in Nigeria, the pastors on the platform wept when about half a million people showed up, as most of them pre-believers. Over 90 percent of the crowd received Christ as their savior that day.Yet another meeting in Nigeria reached a staggering 1.6 million attendees.

Bonnke explained that God does not sit with sitters, but He goes with goers. After all, he reasoned, if God is for us, who can be against us? He believes in his heart that heaven is going to be bigger than hell.

Bonnke said Heaven is Full, Hell is empty. That is my heart’s desire to plunder Hell and making Heaven full. What is going to happen is that Satan will be sitting alone in Hell because Hell is make for him. Bonnke said that he understand that it is not Biblically correct because in Matthew 7:13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.”

The way to Heaven is narrow but the way to Hell is wide and broad. Mathematically, it is not correct because since the wayto Heaven is narrow while to Hell is wide, resident in Heaven can’t be more then Hell. Jesus said that is the highway to hell, but He had already plunged His cross in the middle of that highway as a roadblock, so many people are making the U-turn back to Heaven again because of this huge ROADBLOCK!

Bonnke professes that preachers and evangelists stand at the foot of that cross to preach repentance repentance brings about a change of life and direction. Those who believe and change direction do not arrive in hell but in heaven.

The key, Bonnke emphasized, is the Holy Spirit, as there is no substitute for the Holy Spirit; He is crucial to ministry. When Bonnke was a young preacher, he believed that Matthew 28:19-20 was the greatest promise in the Bible, as it said, Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.

The Holy Spirit gave him a revelation not just a promise, but a proven fact that He is unconditionally and always with his believers. This influenced Bonnke’s thinking and ministry. Bonnke admitted that there will be times when believers cannot feel the presence of the Holy Spirit, but it is in such times that they must exercise faith and trust that He will show up as they do His work, for it is then that the Holy Spirit starts to move.

Like Elijah’s mantle, Bonnke said that the Holy Spirit will be given to each and every one of His believers. Bonnke highlighted that when the 120 came down from the upper room on the day of the Pentecost, each of them had the flame of the Holy Spirit on them. Each flame was different because it was original. However, even the tiniest flame represents the full fire of God and is capable of battling hell. He declared that everyone at CGI-AC2010 would return to their countries with the fire of the Holy Spirit. Bonnke concluded the session by praying for the congregation, and promised that in his next session, the ring of fire will flow through the hall.

Reinhard Bonnke

The Supreme Commission To Preach The Gospel

Healing evangelist Reinhard Bonnke hails from Germany and is known for his Great Gospel Crusades throughout Africa. His crusades have seen as many as 1.6 million people in a single gathering. In the last decade, Bonnke’s ministry has recorded some 52 million decisions for Jesus Christ.

Reinhard Bonnke opening was he sensed the focus of the Heart of God in Asia.

The point is you must pray and obey the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit is a healing spirit, a miracle. Our ministries covers area like dream commission, the great commission preaching in South Africa. Go preach Gospel. There are certain Church preaching Gospel like a flight simulator at altitude but their feet are grounded to the ground, connection to God. Those are just big screen. The world is Real, we have to preach real things to the real world.

Power of the spoken word

In book of Genesis 1:2-3 The Holy Spirit was hovering and he can do nothing until the words of God speaks. Then there was creations. The Holy Spirit is hovering over India, China, waiting for someone to preach the word of God. Since Pentecost time God has been waiting for man. The Holy Spirit has already been ready all the time.

I remembered in my hometown in Germany, East Germany, my home was at the seaside. We use to have budges but when it is low tide, the budge are stuck in the mud, there is no way to move them. But when it is high tide, the budge were dislodged from the mud and the current started to move things around.. With the water current came in, I can move the budge easily by pushing with just one hand. The Holy Spirit is the water current that gives you strength to move things around.

News is only news when it is spoken. And an unspoken gospel is no gospel at all! declared renowned evangelist Reinhard Bonnke.

At his second session on the fourth day of the CGI-AC 2010, the 70-year old German did not mince his words as he urged every delegate to be bold in going into the world to preach the gospel as commissioned and emphasized by Jesus in Mark 16:15.

If you want to catch a fish, don’t throw your net in the bath tub, said Bonnke, “You will not catch any fish, maybe only a bar of soap. Throw your net into the ocean.”

He went on to declare that since the day of Pentecost, God has been waiting for believers to act in faith and obedience. But believers have mostly assumed that they need to wait for Him and His timing before getting involved in the Great Commission.

To further illustrate this point, he shared how the gospel is like medicine that needed to be taken in order for it to be of any help. If a bottled medicine lay beside the bed of a dying man and was not used, it would be useless as it helped nobody. Similarly, the gospel needs to be preached in order to release the power of the Holy Spirit and to bring salvation.

Another blessed delegate, 30-year old school counselor and CHC member, Sharmaine Tan shared how her faith was stirred up by Bonnke’s evangelistic fervor. His passion and stories of faith in the Holy Spirit greatly inspire me to do likewise. If God can use Bonnke, God can use me too, said Tan

This was just one of the many witty statements that Bonnke made as he challenged delegates to go into the world and preach the gospel.

A defining moment In Africa

Bonnke recounted how he began his ministry in Africa at age 27 and joked how he had arrived from Germany to a land that was not waiting for him; indicating the scores of obstacles that greeted him in Africa.

One of the early incidents that led to the start of his ministry as an inexperienced missionary was when he had engaged an established African pastor, whom he called a big man, for a miracle service to pray for the poor and sick. On the day of that service, the big man ended the meeting after preaching 10 minutes without praying for the people who came to be ministered. He was bewildered but abided as the big man promised to pray for those people the next day.

When the following day came and Bonnke went to fetch the big man, he was shocked when the big man told him that he was going home instead. Bonnke objected but the big man was adamant and left.

Going back into his car, Bonnke cried out to God and prayed, God, I’m not a big-time pastor. I’m just a small-fry missionary. But I know I’m Your servant; so I’ll preach and pray, while You perform the miracles.

This was to be a defining moment for Bonnke and his ministry as he stepped out in faith to anchor the miracle service that day. And remarkably four persons who were totally blind, recovered their sight fully at the end of that service after he prayed for them!

Besides learning first-hand that the power was in the Word and that the Word of God in his mouth was just as equally powerful as when it is in His mouth, Bonnke also learned that the Holy Spirit was a healing Spirit who performs miracles.

((Thank God for Reinhard Bonnke. I have been writing ariticles, posting in FB to caution people of incorrect doctrine that there is no Hell. Bonnke’s sermon came on me as Gift of Faith, reinforcing and confirming that the works I had done ebing supervised by our Holy Spirit. Iwas woke up by our Lord Jesus by his bright blinding light at 3am to print out the Biblical truth and handed out to my CG during meeting. Bonnke also confirmed for me the biblical truth that I have been talking about, that hell is not empty and Lord Jesus is plundering hell because He has the keys. So Heaven is filling up with residents bigger than you would expect. Thank you Father Jesus for your love

Dripping with Liquid fire

Bonnke relate to us how Lord Jesus was being baptised by John the Baptist.

Matthew 3:11 “I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me will come one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not fit to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.”

One thing all of us must know, the Holy Spirit is attracted by the weakest and those who feel unworthy.

1Corinthians 1:27 “But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise., and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty.”

We learned that John baptised Jesus in the river, but tonight you are going to be baptised in the river of Fire.

Hundreds or even thousands responded to the altar call. Praise the Lord. Towards the end, Bonnke delved into the subject of the baptism in the Holy Spirit and its significance upon the lives of Christ-followers. He used this analogy: the dipping of fabric in colored dye, demonstrating how the baptism in the Holy Spirit affects the life of a believer.

He explained that when dye gets into the cloth, the fabric takes on the nature of the dye and is transformed. The dyed fabric now feels like the dye, looks like the dye and smells like the dye. Similarly, Jesus dips the believer in “fire” when he or she is baptized in the Holy Spirit; soaked in the fire of God.

Bonnke exclaimed, Wherever you go, you will drip fire. Every devil will recognize the footsteps and anointing of Jesus upon your life and flee. Be baptized! Your life and ministry will change!

Bonnke gave an altar call for delegates who were between 15 to 25 years old, to run to the altar to get baptized, to which hundreds of youth responded and ran toward the stage area.

With CGI-AC 2010 being represented by 70 countries and more than 2,000 churches, the session impacted thousands of young people to rise up and reach out to their societies for God.

30/6/2010 – Morning session.

12 members of City Harvest Church was promoted to Pastor. They have the priviledge a of being prayed by Rev Dr Yonggi Cho.

The morning of May 30, the last day of CGI-Asia Conference 2010, was one that would change the lives of 12 City Harvest Church leaders. After years of ministry and discipleship, they were ordained as assistant pastors, stepping up to higher levels of leadership and responsibilities in various ministries. Dr. David Yonggi Cho laid his hands on the 12, and presented them with their certificates.

Following, Taiwanese singer-composer Chen Wei Quan and The Millennial Orchestra and Choir gave pitch-perfect performances to an audience that included the Grand Imam of Badshahi Mosque in Pakistan and Ambassador Oh Joon, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea in Singapore.

Anchoring his message on John 6 in the Bible, Cho pointed out the difference between the disciples Philip and Andrew.

Philip focused on what they did not have, acting in the natural as he counted that it would take almost a whole year’s wages to buy enough food for each person. On the other hand, Andrew operated in the Fourth Dimension, believing that Jesus would have some use for what they did have five small loaves and two fish.

Through that small offering, Jesus was able to perform one of His biggest miracles. Not only was every stomach filled, but there were 12 baskets full of leftover. God always works with what we have, not what we don’t have, stated Cho.

As such, we need to shift our gear from Third Dimensional thinking (operating in the natural) to Fourth Dimension thinking (operating in the spiritual), he said. Christ lives in the supernatural through our faith, our words of proclamation, our thinking as well as our visions and dreams.

Cho shared that many times, as he was going through the most difficult times of his life, he wondered if Jesus was with him. Looking back, I can see that He has really been with me every step of the way. Jesus is always where we need Him.

Christ was always meeting the dire needs of the people, he added. He spoke from his own life-changing experience. Born in 1936 in South Korea, Cho’s childhood was steeped in eastern beliefs. At 17, he contracted tuberculosis and was lying on his deathbed when his sister’s Christian friend shared the gospel of Jesus Christ with him.

Desperate to live, he cried out to an unknown God, If you heal me, I will be a minister; l will go to the ends of the world for you! He felt warmth go through his heart, and from that time, he got better and better. In less than a year, he rose from his deathbed and his life changed completely. Christ is the source of life. I knew that once I had Jesus, I would be healed.

By reading the Bible, we renew our minds. Don’t act based on what you see, hear, taste or desire. Only act according to the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Cho spoke at length of the necessary partnership with the Holy Spirit for all fruitful believers. Every faith-filled believer does not walk alone. We are not orphans, we have a heavenly helper in the Holy Spirit, he said. Describing his partnership with Him, he elaborated, Every morning before I begin my day, I welcome and praise the Holy Spirit. I say to Him, “Let’go!” With the Holy Spirit, I can preach the gospel. I can bring the kingdom of heaven into the hearts of men. With the Holy Spirit, you will be a successful Christian and lead a victorious life.

Going further, he added, “With the Holy Spirit, you can have visions and dreams. The Bible says that without vision, the people perish. How do you know if you have a vision and a dream? Well, do you have a fervent desire in your heart for the future? If yes, that is your vision!” Quoting from Romans 4:17, he reminded the congregation that God calls into being things that were not.

He gave an example of praying for a woman who was stricken with throat cancer. As she kept saying, “Pastor, I’m dying, he kept on praying for her but nothing happened. Just before he gave up, the Holy Spirit spoke to him, prompting him to ask her to go to a prayer grotto on Prayer Mountain in South Korea, and write down the Bible verse as found in 1Peter 2:24 By His stripes I am healed 10,000 times.”

After she left, he put the incident away in his mind but after 10 days, the woman returned and said to him in a clear voice, I have finished writing! By repeatedly visualizing and writing down the promise of God for healing, the woman was healed of her sickness. He reiterated the essence of his first session on Day One, Christianity without miracles is not Christianity at all.

Even if you are not healed on the spot, you should say what God says and you should believe what God believes; what God sees, you should see also.

We must always speak creative words as God works through your proclamations. Nothing positive will ever happen if you speak negatively. God does not look for PhDs, He looks for humble people. When you walk with Jesus, you can do all things.

Cho ended by telling the congregation, The whole world is in a state of disorder. We need God’s intervention. I pray that all of you will be the ones leading God’s work throughout the world. The session closed with a discernible sense of God’s universal love for the whole of humanity, as senior pastor of CHC, Kong Hee, led in a prayer for the various nations in Asia.

Kong Hee: How To Be A Culturally-Savvy Christian

Delegates at CGI-AC 2010 who were anticipating an explosive evening plenary session on the first day were not disappointed as founder and senior pastor of City Harvest Church, Dr. Kong Hee delivered a pulsating message to rouse the faith of Christians and churches alike: to recapture leadership in influential areas of society by engaging culture effectively.

As the CHC music team led the hall in song, the evening opened with an exuberant Parade of Ministries preceded by a video encapsulating the history of City Harvest. Members and ministries from CHC and its affiliate churches making an impact in the marketplace from celebrities to top business people walked the stage as a precursor to Kong’s message that followed. Then, a live showcase of the many congregations in the church, the Hokkien, Chinese and Indonesian church, JAMs church, Children’s Church and more followed. Trishaws circled the floor, followed by floats and a bevy of girls wearing balloon outfits.

All of it culminated in a brilliant lightshow and the full praise and worship session that brought down an electrifying presence of God. Dr. John Avanzini took the offering with a powerful message about visualizing as one sows, preparing the hearts of the congregation for the night’s main word from Kong.
Before Kong began, he shared what he believed was the battle cry of the Holy Spirit; to raise up a generation of Christians in Asia who would be both savvy in culture and fervent in the faith.

Engaging Culture Effectively

For too long, churches have adopted wrong mindsets that have led us in disengaging our culture, said Kong. No doubt popular culture has risen but church culture has decreased.

Citing the story of John Wimber (1934 -1997) who was a famous producer in the music industry in the early 1960s before he became a pastor as an example, Kong revealed how The Beatles had at one time approached Wimber to become their producer. However, due to the advice of the church that Wimber was attending as a young believer, he turned down the offer.

According to Kong, that church was against the association of the secular or popular culture. And he believed that things might have panned out differently if Wimber had accepted that offer, noting the high possibility that the members of The Beatles might have converted to Christianity given Wimber’s evangelistic fervor. It might have been that Christianity lost a potentially powerful and influential force in The Beatles.

Kong presented three types of thinking that account for the failure of churches to engage culture effectively. They are:
Cocooning – withdrawal and isolation
Combating – fight, resist and oppose
Conforming – compromise.

Being Culturally Savvy

Kong illustrated how it was possible for the Church to engage culture effectively without compromising the faith through the biblical example of Daniel, who was a highly favored servant of the king of Babylon during Babylonian reign over Israel.

The preacher explained that Daniel was successful and experienced upward mobility because of his maturity in learning the Babylonian culture, language and fashion. He even adopted a Babylonian name and took on a job in Babylon. In his time, Daniel was contemporary yet consecrated. He was serious about culture yet serious about his faith.

When it came to learning the culture, arts, fashion and language of Babylon, Daniel accepted these outward practices. However, when it came to accepting the Babylonian’s diet of food, he rejected it as he understood that it was equivalent to submitting to their pagan idols. Daniel knew where to draw the line and did not compromise his faith, explained Kong.

He cited two-time Oscar winner, Denzel Washington, a Christian and a modern-day Daniel, who has made no secret of the line he draws, he may play a villain in a movie but either redemption or justice must be communicated by the end of the film.

In order for Christians to be savvy, Kong listed three things they can do:
Counter culture. Be aliens: in the world, but not of it. Look and perform like everyone else but within and in ways that count, be consecrated to the Lord.

Communicate in culture. Be ambassadors. Show genuine care and interest for people and their culture.
Create culture. Be artists. Be passionate about excellence and creativity in one’s art.

In Kong’s opinion, Washington epitomized what a culturally-savvy Christian ought to be in the entertainment industry an artist who is deeply Christian.

Building On Spiritual Disciplines

Kong turned his attention to the contemporary group of Christians.

He said, “The only way to become a successful Christian in the marketplace is to build your life on spiritual disciplines. Reading the Bible, prayer, fasting, praise and worship and thanksgiving, solitude, confession, repentance, forgiveness and going to church these are the spiritual undergirding support of one’s upward mobility.”

According to Kong, the gap between one’s upward mobility and lack of spiritual disciplines is called character deficit. The wider the gap, the greater the pressure exerted on one’s character which will lead to burnout or to moral failure. In other words, failure in character is a failure in maintaining one’s spiritual disciplines.

If we’re not careful in maintaining our spiritual disciplines, we will start to compromise on our faith, said Kong. Instead of us influencing the world, we in turn become vulnerable and get influenced by the world.

In closing, Kong encouraged conservative Christians to engage the world and contemporary Christians to learn spiritual disciplines. He also explained that the intent of his message was not to undermine either conservative or contemporary Christians, but to marry both of their strengths to produce a successful ministry in bringing the gospel to the world.

Let’s live in balance, exhorted Kong, being culturally savvy Christians who love God and His word.

The New Self

“Your self-esteem is how you feel about yourself, but your self-concept is the person you think you should and could be.”

The evening of May 30 spelled the end to five days of Church Growth International and Asia Conference 2010. Yet, it also marked the start of new things that God was about to do through His people.

Neon laser lights cut through an atmosphere thick with excitement and anticipation, as the CHC band led the praise and worship session, followed by the offering message preached yet again by the guru of biblical economics, Dr. John Avanzini. He fleshed out four main points on what Christians need to do to prepare for Jesus’ return, which includs feeding the hungry.

Taiwanese artistes, led by singer Liu Geng Hong and model Vivi Wang, performed a number entitled “Everyday.”  The celebrity couple from New Life Church have brought 100 of their close friends in the media circle to Christ since their own salvation several years ago. Their appearance suitably paved the way for the last speaker of the conference, Dr. A.R. Bernard, known for his teachings on Kristos Kai Kosmos or Christ in Culture.

After having spoken on Day Two, of the need for the church to realign its worldview, its core purposes and values in order to restore its influence in the society, Bernard came a full circle in addressing the need for change in the individual, saying, “If you want to change the world, start with yourself.”

Jesus is our comforter in blood and flesh but when he left he gave us a comforter who is like air. How do you know your have vision and dream? You must have great desire in your heart. You have desire in your heart close it with reality. Faith is believing in what God had said. It is like I have sixth sense, I see as God sees. We are all in WILDERNESS, trouble in the west. You must always speak CREATIVE AND POSSITIVE WORDS. Philips was negative, Andrew was positive as he talked about what you have, not what you don’t have. God is not looking for PDA but a humble heart. Don’t say you are nothing, you can’t go to university, etc. But with Jesus, you’re everything.

Matthew 23:17 “You blind fools! Which is greater: the gold, or the temple that makes the gold sacred? You also say, ‘If anyone swears by the altar, it means nothing; but if anyone swears by the gift on it, he is bound by his oath.’ You blind men! Which is greater: the gift, or the altar that makes the gift sacred?”

Exodus 30:29 “You shall consecrate them, that they may be most holy. Whatever touches them will become holy.”

Philp 4:12 “I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.”

Shedding light on the parable of the prodigal son in Luke 15, Bernard departed from the themes of forgiveness usually associated with the passage and zeroed in on verse 17, where the prodigal son “came to himself” and sought to return home to his father.

Bernard went on to suggest that the cultural mandate seeks not only to restore culture but also to restore man to his original self-concept and deliver him from inadequacy. Pointing to Luke 15:17, he likened the verse “When he came to himself” to the changing of self from the old man to the new manone who looks at his resources, talents and time to pursue who he could and should be, and starts to dream dreams.

Bernard drove the message home by declaring, Reconciliation with God ensures that you go to heaven, but reconciliation to your true self determines what you will achieve while you are on earth. God gave us promises not only of the life to come, but of the life that now is.

When the prodigal son came to himself, the first thing he did was to speak to his world. Just as God’s creative power is in His words, so was the creative power in him, which came out in the words he spoke to himself. He moved from images of poverty to images of abundance even though he did not physically move.

Your circumstance doesn’t dictate what happens to you, what happens in your mind does. He talked himself out of his situation. He began to speak from a different perspective and relate to abundance. Even if he didn’t have it then, he believed it was available to him, exhorted the founder and senior pastor of Christian Cultural Center in New York City.

Bernard also pointed out that the prodigal son was not concerned with whether his father would accept or reject him, as he was determined to return home. When you have a positive mindset, you are not afraid of rejection or failure. Even if you do meet failure, you see it as another opportunity to look for another door, he said.

Your self-esteem is how you feel about yourself, but your self-concept is the person you think you should and could be. When Adam was first created by God, he felt good about himself. After he sinned, his self-concept changed; he began to experience feelings he’d never felt before, such as guilt, condemnation and inferiority. His feelings began to dominate him, prompting him to hide when God came looking for him.

People suffer because of the distance between their self-esteem and their self-concept the greater the distance, the lower their productivity and motivation in life. When God comes into a believer’s life, He takes him back to his real self, that is, according to the image of God. As the believer focuses on the Word, he starts to see things differently and perceive himself in a new way. Your perspective on life changes when your self-concept changes.

He proceeded to quote Colossians 3:10, and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. Bernard explained that just as God was in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself, God was also in Christ, reconciling man with his true self-concept, which is the image of God. Only when you come to your true self-concept can you be empowered to be the model citizen of the world, to have dominion over all, to multiply and subdue as stated in the Bible at the beginning of man.

According to Bernard, the new self has a new resilience, a new determination that endures hardship, and does not accept “no” for an answer. When you come to yourself, you think and talk differently. When others are saying it cannot be done, you are saying it can be done, Bernard affirmed.

Cultural Mandate

He spoke of an example of self-determination from the Bible, where a Gentile woman with a demon-possessed daughter pleaded with Jesus to heal her child. When Jesus responded by calling her a dog, she did not let that register in her feelings but answered unwaveringly with the now famous line, Yes, but even dogs eat the crumbs that fall from the master’s table.

Bernard put forth that Jesus was affirming her tenacity, her pursuit of changing her daughter’s circumstance. There was a determination that motivated her even in the face of potential rejection.

Stating that self-determination is an attribute of God, Bernard challenged the congregation, “If a Gentile woman can have such determination in her, what more those in whom God dwells? No wonder the Bible says that we are more than conquerors and over-comers in this life!”

Bernard spoke of the widely-published series of Chicken Soup For The Soul books. Despite being rejected by publishers 33 times, the team of writers behind the books persevered and today, the series is a best-seller around the world. Every time we exercise self-determination, we are drawing from the self-concept that God originally intended for us. And when we do that, we can start to dream, imagine and see possibilities for change. And that is how we will change the world.

Elective workshop – Effective counseling.
Walk With Them, Not For Them

Frederick Toke teaches that counsellors should facilitate solutions, rather than focus on problems.

Which of these four shapes would you choose? A square, a triangle, a circle or the letter “Z”?  After waiting for an answer, Frederick Toke, a psychologist by training,explained, Those who chose the square are intelligent people, while those who chose the triangle are analytical. Those who choose the letter “Z” are creative. As for those who choose the circle, you have a problem, a big problem. You are obsessive! You will need to take a walk down the street to visit my clinic. If you are not careful, being impatient will make you an “in-patient”. The audience roared with laughter.

With that test, Toke, a man passionate about helping and training others, started the laughter-filled Effective Counseling elective workshop at the CGI-Asia Conference 2010. Not one 5-minute block went past that wasn’t met with laughter from the audience.

Toke explained that it is the duty of the counselor to comfort the client, and “com” means to come along side, while “fort” means to “give strength to the person.” He stressed that just as Psalmist David wrote in Psalm 23 that even though I walk through the valley of death, I will fear no evil for You are WITH me, it was the duty of the counselor to give strength to the client, to help the client understand the situation, and not to remove the mountains on the client’s behalf.

Using the statistics from W.H.O., Toke explained that with the increase in workload and computer usage, the need to multi-task, coupled with the growing coffee culture, one in six people suffer from insomnia. Furthermore, one person attempts suicide in every three seconds with one succeeding every 40 seconds.

With increased emotional trauma, Toke mentioned that it is important for counselors to learn to facilitate solutions and not focus on their problems. He stressed that the moment counselors suggest solutions, they are taking on the responsibility of the clients and not empowering them to take up their responsibilities themselves.

He then encouraged the counselors to focus on the storyteller instead of the stories, and help the client function in the midst of crisis. He explained that all problems are universal, but what make the problems unique are the people going through them. As such, it is important to help the person and empower him to overcome the problem rather than remove the crisis. He also told the audience that as counselors, it is their duty to tell the client the truth as the truth will set us free, to remove the toxic emotions that cause dysfunction.

Next, Toke explained the three phases a person will go through. Phase 1 is the discovery phase, when a self-centered child rubs up against the world. In Phase 2, the preparation phase occurs when the child goes through crisis. After overcoming each crisis, promotion then comes and there will be a transformation from “I” to “We.” The child will then realize that he must learn to function collectively. If the child overcomes the crisis well, he gains wisdom and confidence. There will be maturity in his relationships and a development in his leadership skills. When he moves on to Phase 3, he will start to give back to the society. However, if the child does not learn well during the crisis, it will lead to bitterness and his confidence will be crushed, following which, he will give up.

It was very interesting and his tips are very practical, said Jennifer Chan, a 45-year old Malaysian customer service officer from New Life Church, Taiwan. I now know how to counsel my children, as well as how to relate to my husband and the people around me.

Elective workshop – Discipleship by Robb Thompson.

Robb Thomson started by saying there are two kind of people; One is the process person – Individual who loves process. The other is the result person – Interested in result

1. Process person – Individual who loves process. This person only interested in the process, how the things must working accordingly, he don’t care much about results. If the company requires sales result. This person may not be able to deliver but since he is very interested in process, he ensures quality in his process.
Result person – Interested in result. This person is result driven, most like a manager or leader wanting to look at good result only, at time tends to overlook quality. There is no right or wrong between the two person. You need to have both.

Founder and senior pastor of Family Harvest Church, Dr. Robb Thompson is an expert in the area of organization, relationship and leadership. Widely regarded as one of the world’s leading teachers on personal excellence and character development, he has trained and coached business executives and mentored government leaders, heads of state, cabinet members, and royalties in over 40 countries around the world. No stranger to City Harvest Church, Thompson began his elective session on CGI-Asia Conference Day One as the crowd listened intently to his every word.

Thompson began by explaining that leadership is essentially discipleship. To lead, one has to first learn how to follow. He elucidated that this concept has been clearly echoed through Scripture everyone who is perfectly trained will be like his teacher; the Corinthians were told to imitate the apostle Paul as he imitated Christ.

The goal of leadership is not just to see a change in our lives but most importantly, to have an inward transformation. He further elaborated that the problem was not bringing people into the House of God, but rather ensuring that they receive a special touch to change their lives. There may have been meetings with a million people in attendance, but in such meetings it is very difficult to ascertain whether all will have experienced an authentic inward change.

Thompson then began to share seven traits that true spiritual leaders should have. Firstly, they need to embody courage. Courage, as he defined, is the willingness to stand for what is right in the face of wrong it is not the same as bravery.

Secondly, leaders need to have a committed life-team around them, as a person’s life is determined by those whom he calls friends; to those whom he grants access to.

Self control is another essential trait. He highlighted how characters in the Bible such as Adam and Samson flirted with the temptation of the forbidden, and as a result, disappointed God.

Leaders also need integrity the inner strength to choose the rejection of men rather than to disappoint God. People often fail in life because of a fault in character, and a lack of integrity often underlies that problem.

Thompson stated that diligence is a quality that all leaders should strive to have, and that it is the mother of promotion. Quoting from Proverbs, Thompson clearly showed that the scriptures highlight the necessity of hard work for greater success and excellence in life.

The sixth attribute is possessing a successful attitude. This is the different spirit which Joshua and Caleb had that enabled them to enter the Promised Land. It is not the negative circumstances that will determine a person’s future but rather how he responds that will decide his destiny.

Finally, a leader must be a good finisher to endure to the end regardless of the trials and tribulations that he faces. Dr. Thompson followed by sharing three laws of leadership: Never delay a decision which has to be made eventually; be specific when one has to get something done and to make one’s expectations clear of his followers. He further elaborated on four qualifications to be a leader and ended the message with an altar call for those who had fallen short of certain standards to ask God to make them better leaders.

Thompson ended the session with a short time of Q&A. Financial consultant Mary Tan, 43, asked Thompson how he handles betrayal personally. He answered that no one likes betrayal, that even Jesus was hurt by Judas’ act of disloyalty, but that time is the factor which will cause all evil to eventually reveal itself.

National serviceman Jireh Chew, 20, felt that the session was very “enlightening” and was inspired to be the person that God has called him to be.

CHC member Louis Ling, 51, was deeply impacted by Dr. Thompson’s teaching and was encouraged by a greater understanding of leadership principles.

Joshua tree is also called Yucca brevifolia and is a plant species belonging to genus Yucca in the family Agavaceae.This monocotyledonoustree is native to southwestern North American the states of California,Arizona, Utah and Nevada,where it is confined mostly to the Mojave Desert between 400-1,800 m (2,000-6,000 feet). It thrives in the open grasslands of Queen Valley
and Lost Horse Valley in
Joshua Tree National Park.

How was the name Joshua tree derived?

The name Joshua tree was given by a group of Mormon settlers who crossed the Mojave Desert in the mid-19th century. The tree’s unique shape reminded them of a Biblical story in which Joshua
reaches his hands up to the sky in prayer.


A BRANCHLESS JOSHUA TREE

Growth and development

Joshua trees are fast growers for the desert; new seedlings may grow at an
average rate of 7.6
cm (3.0in) per year in their first ten years, then only grow about 3.8cm (1.5in) per year thereafter. The trunk of a Joshua tree is made of thousands of small fibers and lacks annual growth rings, making it difficult to determine the tree’s age. This tree has a top-heavy branch system, but also has what has been described as a “deep and extensive” root system, with roots possibly reaching up to 11m (36ft) away. If it survives the rigors of the desert it can live for hundreds of years with some specimens surviving up to a thousand years. The tallest trees reach about 15 m tall. New plants can grow from seed,but in some populations, new stems grow from underground rhizomes that spread out around the Joshua tree. Spring rains may bring clusters of white-green flowers on long stalks at branch tips. Like all desert blooms, Joshua trees depend on just the perfect conditions: well-timed rains, and for the Joshua tree, a crisp winter freeze. Researchers believe that freezing temperatures may damage the growing end of a branch and stimulate flowering,
followed by branching. You may notice some Joshua trees grow
like straight stalks; these trees have never bloomed which is why they are branchless! In addition to ideal weather, the pollination of flowers requires a visit from the yucca moth. The moth collects pollen while laying her eggs inside the flower ovary. As seeds develop and mature, the eggs hatch into larvae, which feed on the seeds. The tree relies on the moth for pollination and the moth relies on the tree for a few seeds
for her young a happy symbiosis. The Joshua tree is also capable of sprouting from roots and branches. Being able to reproduce vegetative allows a much quicker recovery after damaging floods or fires, which may kill the main tree. Many birds, mammals, reptiles, and insects depend on the Joshua tree for food and shelter. Keep your eyes open for the yellow and black flash of a Scott’s oriole busy making a nest in a yucca,s branches. At the base of rocks you may find a wood rat nest built with spiny yucca leaves for protection. As evening falls, the desert night lizard begins poking around under the log of a fallen Joshua tree in search of tasty insects.

You may be at ease with pine or hardwood, or find shade under the domesticated trees in your city park, but in the high desert, Joshua is our tree. It is an important part of the Mojave Desert ecosystem, providing habitat for numerous birds, mammals, insects, and lizards. Joshua tree forests tell a story of survival, resilience, and beauty borne through perseverance. They are the silhouette that reminds those of us who live here that we are home. Like the Lorax we speak for the trees, but often the trees speak to us.

Once they bloom, the trees are pollinated by the yucca moth, which spreads pollen while laying her eggs inside the flower. The moth larvae feed on the seeds of the tree, but enough seeds are left behind to produce more trees. The Joshua tree is also able to actively abort ovaries in which too many eggs have been laid.

Learning from the Joshua Tree –  Biblical application for Christian.

1)Deep Rooting System

Just like the Joshua Tree, it survived in the hardest desert because of its deep rooting system, the ability to draw water from the deepest underground where there is stream of living water.

Christian survival is dependent on the deep rooting with the Holy Spirit, always in the awe, realm of the Holy Spirit in order to draw the living water and spiritual strength so that one can survive even in the worst hash desert condition. There is much contentment and comfort hidden deeply away from where human eyes can’t see, spring of living water, the hidden manna can be found.

John 3:5 “Unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.”

Building on a Solid Foundation

Matt 24-25 “Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock.”

Water speaks of Living word of God, having the faith believing in the living word of God and be born of the Spirit (baptised).

2) Vegetate more roots

Once the Joshua Tree had the deep rooting system established, it didn’t stop there, it continues to vegetate more and more root branches deep underneath the ground. This will help the Joshua tree to survive even though above the ground surface there are much damaging floods or fires.

So for Christian to survive, do not stop at first instant of deep rooting with the Holy Spirit upon being baptised. Go forth and vegatate more roots with our Holy Spirit, thus growing more branches of hidden Spiritual Gifts of which; Word of Discernment, Word of Wisdom and Word of prophecy is primarily important. Thus, even though being weathered by floods of persecutions, trials, and test by fire above the ground level, you will survive victorously!

Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To
another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.”

Thus the Rooting system the roots, are hidden Spiritual Gifts that is hidden underground where it not visible nor easily seen nor understood by man.

3) Blooming with more branches

For Joshua Tree to bloom and have more branches, it needs perfect conditions:

  1. A well-timed rain.

  2. A crisp winter freezing, the end of branches was broken and this stimulate growing end of branch and stimulate flowering combined with growing of more branches.

As an individual Christian, at times we are too happy or contented with what we had achieved. We are very satisfied with the number of branches we have. Symbolic meaning of branches represents our achievements, the works we had accomplished in Church or Kingdom of Heaven and it also represents spiritual fruits such as love which is the main essence of standalone ability to draw people closer and expand branches from this community love. But we becomes stagnant, there is no synergy of new Visions to do more. Do not be like the branchless Joshua Tree! It looks ugly! At time like, this we needed to be place into the well-timed rain from God, exposed to extreme crisp winter so that we maybe broken and bring forth stimulated growth, evident by blooming flowers and sprouting of branches. This is the same for Cell Group, it is good to be big but there will come a time when we’re contented with a Big family and just stopped there. So we have to pray for the same “Well timed rain” where the rain symbolize “Blessings from God” and then be exposed to “ crisp winter freezing, Crisp winter freezing symbolize “chastening” just like Jonah being put in the belly of the fish. Only then, with the complete brokenness and with direct well timed commandment from God then the division can proceeded for growing more branches of Cell Group. Please note that this is different from the simplified decision making by Cell Group leader where he or she “feel the need to expand cell group” and the decision making is based on numerical calculation whereas the well-timed rain and crisp winter freezing to permit sprouting of more branches is from the invisible hands of God.

Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.’

Thus if every members can incubate more spiritual fruits, then the retention of members and expansion of a cell group is a natural process by the Grace of our Lord Jesus.

Thus the flowering blooms and the growing branches, are evidents of Spiritual Fruits that may become tangible or visible due to the resultant of various love actions taken to materialized it or it can be felt by people.

I strongly encourage you to have deep rooting with our Holy Spirit. With HIS command in Jesus’ name; armies of God’s warriors will be with you in any spiritual battle fields and not only that; many Angels will be at hand to support you. There is no fear against those who can kill only the body but not the soul. Our Holy Spirit will lead you out of the “desert’ into the promise land where there are springs of living water in the valley. Hallelujah! Praise the Lord!

For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters that spreads out its roots by the river, and it shall not see and fear when heat comes, but its leaf shall be green. It shall not be anxious and full of care in the year of drought, nor shall it cease yielding fruit.” Jeremiah 17:7-8

S$1,500 return to me, Praise the Lord

Starting on the first day of Asia Conference, as usual we have offerings. Then second day Pastor Kong Hee was appealing the attendee to pledge S$300 if they can to help the charity organisation.

My thought was, already I had pledge quite a sum in the Arise and Build. So the offering of S$10 or $S20 would be enough. Then next day the amount increased to S$500. Deep inside me, I felt the Holy Spirit is telling to fulfill the offering. By the way, the pledge of Arise and Build had overshoot the target of S$24,000,000 at S$25,000,000 and Pastor Kong Hee announce with great joy that we had done it. Praise the Lord!

Then on Saturday service with Pastor Benny Hinn. He challenged everyone to pledge US$1,000 for the charity. And he said that everytime he get people to do that miracle happened. The money will return to you within 12 days. This time the Holy Spirit within me spoke even more audible “Go, Stanley. Do it.” So, I could not escape this time and I am among the 1st few to reach the Hall 7 stage. Then Pastor Benny Hinn ask all to come to Hall 8 for the Prayer blessing. Wow, first time in my life in EXPO, I ran like a marathon champion. I reached there in double quick time, standing behind those who were already at the side of the stage. I had never forget Pastor Casey Treat’s sermon. “Say things that are not and speak with your mouth as though they were in Prayer.”

Then in a while the night is over and I got home to prepare for Sunday Service.

Surprised telephone call from AIA on Tuesday 28th Nov 2008

Call Center “Hello, hi are you Mr Tan?”

(I can hear her accent, she is a Philiphine lady)

I replied “Yes, I am. What is it regarding?”

Call Center “You have a cheque issued for your matured policy and I need to verify your home address, so that we can sent it to you.”

I replied “Okay sure.”

Call Center “Is your address Blk 320, Yishun Central….”

I replied “No that is no right, that was my old address. How could the office not knowing my address. My new policies are all sent to my current address.”

Call Center “Okay, Sir. Apologised for that. Can you provide your current address so that we can mail this cheque to you.”

I replied “Okay, my address is…….. By the way, how much is the cheque?’

Call Center “The amount is S$1,638…”

I replied “Oh thank you.”

After I had put down the phone, I thanks our Lord Jesus many times, because I have no idea where this cheque come from. Moreover I am currently a Financial Services Consultant with AIA, I had checked with the office and computer system; there was no record of any old policy in my account. So I presumed that I had redeemed all for cash, and thrown all the old policies away. In fact, there are 2 web design jobs on handl in the process of negotiation. So, I thought I would have to spent some effort to seal the web design deal at $1,500 and I can take it that this is the blessing of return of the pledged money, but that would means that I had spent some effort to justify the price to be $1,500. But, look at what our Lord Jesus had done for me, I don’t have to spent any effort to receive the return of the money! I really thanks Abba Father Lord Jesus for this surprise anointing. It was such a PERFECT timing. The date of cheque issue was 10th Sept 2008. I could have received in October, then there is not much for me to thank God for. But the amazing invisible hand of God works wonderfully. He arranged such that it fulfilled the prophency of the pledge money facilitated by Pastor Benny Hinn within 12 days and I recieved it the cheque 7 days! Praise the Lord. Hallelujah!

The Whitewashed wall

Acts 23:3 “God will strike you, you whitewashed wall! For you sit to judge me according to the law, and do you command me to be struck contrary to the law?”

Acts 23:8-9 “For Sadducees say that there is no resurrection – and no angel or spirit; but the Pharisees confess both. Then there arose a loud outcry. And the scribes of the Pharisees’ party arose and protested, saying, “We find no evil in this man; but if a spirit or an angel has spoken to him, let us not fight against God.”

Someone wants to know “a Vision of whitewashed wall.”

I did a search on Bible based on Whitewashed Wall. Whoever received a Vision must bear responsibility to ask in prayer for the full meaning of it and ask in Jesus’ name on what to do with the Vision. He must ask in prayer for more revelations and confirmations so that with the help of the Holy Spirit, he can build up a complete Vision and thus doing the Will of God, and will be blessed, those not doing or going against the Will of God will be cursed (lest they recognized their mistakes and asked for forgiveness.) God, Our Lord Jesus will rarely give a “cheap Vision” just to confirm where you’re going. If it is comprise of the confirmation of a place, there has to be instructions or tasking for meaningful fulfillment of the THE VISION trip. A Vision given is a hope, a , revelations of a situation that needed to be rectified or an assignment or mission needed to be completed at once or in stages. How do we receive further revelations and confirmations of a Vision to have a complete picture? One man’s Vision is another man’s illusion. Click this link for answer.

Would God, Our Lord Jesus give irresponsible Christian anymore Vision? Would God, Our Lord Jesus give further revelations and confirmations to Christian who are spiritually blind and deaf and indirectly refused healing when being told? This depicts how these Academic Christian whose mind is like A.C. current. They can’t do God’s will. They are of two minds, reciprocating all the while. Easily influence by other people or surrounding situation. They can’t do the will of God, as they can’t receive direct instruction from God, Our Lord Jesus. They are Ambivalence and worse off, tends to procrastinate on a lot of things because they aren’t sure of what to do and just leave things as it is and pretending that it wasn’t not there, dare not face the truth. They lust for authority, full of pride. Turning to the right or left, they only think of CONTROLING people. There is no element of LOVE nor CONCERN for people. They are arrogant, easily angered and hold grudges against people who pointed out mistakes to them. They think they are very forgiving but aren’t. Preached but never put to practice what they preached. Worst off at times preached things contrary to Church’s sermon.

That’s why Paul said in Acts 28:25 – 27

So when they did not agree among themselves, they departed after Paul had said one word: “The Holy Spirit spoke rightly through Isaiah the prophet to our fathers, “saying, Go to this people and say “Hearing you will hear, and shall not understand; And seeing you will see, and not perceive; For the hearts of this people have grown dull. Theirs ears are hard of hearing, and their eyes they have closed. Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, SO that I should heal them.”

Acts 23:3 “whitewashed wall” Have anyone seen the Great Wall of China? It is one of the world’s wonder and it can even be seen from the Moon. What about the wall for Berlin? It is being torn down. Praise the Lord for the Grace and glory. The wall are meant to separate people, in other words creates division between people from one side of the wall and the other side of the wall. Thus, those outside the wall cannot get in and those within inside cannot get out unless there are doors opened to them. The symbolic meaning of the Wall represents rules or laws that prevent Christian from doing certain things or command them to do certain things.
Jesus had said very clearly, Matt 5:17 “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill.”
All reborn believer knew that the first commandment from Christ is to Spread the Gospel. And yet these Christian are creating walls that create divisions and preventing faithful Christian from reaching out to others. The “whitewashed wall” is like a page from book without writing. Unwritten laws were set and they like to pass judgment onto the individual and penalized them according to their “Invisible Law”. They hypocritically preached, “Let there be No wall or divisions amongst ourselves” But they don’t practice what they preached. They are not fast enough to feed the younger Christians with nourished bread to help them grow faster and yet they create these “whitewashed wall” to prevent others from reaching them. They like to judge others and pass judgment. They are spiritually blind and deaf. While these little one who are pure in their heart had their spiritual eyes and ears healed by the Lord, pointed out their mistakes and shortfall, and yet instead of repenting or rectification, they penalized the little one. I have got news for them. God, Our Lord Jesus chose to speak to those who are like little child and even to people whom they dislike most. This should be THE TEST for their faith. They see this as insubordination to their authority just because they felt that they had broken their unwritten rules “The Whitewashed wall”. Also they like to distance themselves, very concern with their image, as they don’t want to get “Too Familiar” with their subordinates. While they hypocritically preached “Fellowship is important. Let no wall separates us and all must serve one another as servant like Jesus had washed the feet of his disciples.”
I was told that the person had been advised by member to write down in black and white for those unknown rules and regulation, so that people cannot deny breaking them. But the advice wasn’t heeded, instead, giving his own reasoning such as he don’t want to be too rigid on rules, don’t want to treat everyone like children. Well, we could only pray for this “whitewashed wall” He can’t pass judgment onto anyone breaking “His Rules” because it is not make known and it is not in accordance with the Bible teaching. Maybe the reason for not putting in black and white is that he can conveniently change the rules anytime he like to FIT HIS RIGHTs, thus abusing of Authority accorded to him. This is the case of SILLY practice, where subordinates don’t know what regulations to follow and yet being punished for what they do not know. Even our Lord Jesus had commanded that Vision that is to be make known to people must be written in plain language so that everyone can read and understand.
Hab 2:2 “And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.”
Trumpet had sounded. The “whitewashed wall” also like to preached about how to Cupped the hands and offered our sins for forgiveness in Prayer. But God, Our Lord Jesus had shown that this person teaches people how to cupped their hands, but he himself can’t even form a perfect cupping of hand. Lord Jesus told me that when he poured sands onto his cupped hand, it leaks and he can’t hold much grain of sand because it had many holes at the bottom. Thus, Lord Jesus will not be pouring Sands onto Leaking cupped hands, anymore! Immediately, I understood and related to a message in Bible, It is like a cursed fig tree now.

Matt 21:19: “And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away”.
The heart of these people is starting to be surrounded by darkness. Since God, Our Lord Jesus is not answering their prayer, chances is that they may find an easy way out that is, getting results from the dark Shadow. I was told someone mentioned in prayer that she saw a shadow passed by. The person mentioned that the shadow is GOD and we should open our door wide for him to enter.”. That is the evident of “the weed” in the Courtyard. God will NEVER come in shadow! God come in Glorious Light and Brightness! We really have to pray for these group of people and grieve for them.
That’s why Paul said in Acts 28:25 – 27

Another law of Christ, they don’t diligently follow is this
Ga 6:2 “Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.”
I had heard Joyce Mayer’s audio on one part where she said, she once walked over a penny coin and Lord Jesus asked her to pick it up. From there, in spirit, she understands the significant meaning of it. She said we should humble ourselves, doing little insignificant things for one another, just like the penny, it is so insignificant. And people will really appreciate of those little things you do for them and you will be blessed. So, my sincere hope is that all Cell Group shall operate like a Customer Service Center where every member is being treated with respect like customers and we will provide the best service for them. All rules should be written in black and white and fully explained. The blessed connection or links (new or reborn Christian) brought by the person shall continue and be unbroken and shall improve in the faith of LOVE rather then throwing to “The System” and become COLD. It shall be an open concept, where there is no wall between the members and everyone enjoy and know the important of Servant hood. God, Our Lord Jesus had said that he did not come to this world to be served but to serves.

Mark 10:45 “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”
Sometime we do come across people who may turn down your offer to help because they may said that they don’t like to owe people favor. Of course, individual has the right to accept or reject another person’s help. Based on this, it is a self-centered thought, or perhaps there is certain preference of choices of people whom can help them, this too come under the category of self-center ness. Some maybe have too much PRIDE in them, because they have this ground to earth thought that they are in higher level or position, so they don’t need other people’s help. Or maybe they are too worried or fearful that other people may mess up instead of helping. For such case, we just have to put aside all the negativity and pray in faith that everything will be under God’s hand; the worried and fears will be removed. Surely by God’s grace, Lord Jesus may speak or sent an Angel to instruct someone to help another person and the person being in spirit; obeyed and went forth to offers help. But those “Self-Centred” will reject offers to help because they do not have God’s grace to receive them, and is like indirectly asking the helpers to disobey God’s instruction. It is a tragedy, isn’t it?
The law of Christ in Ga 6:2 “Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” Why should God, Our Lord Jesus want to have this Law? Why not ease or remove the other person’s burden so that they don’t have to rely on others? Daily encounter with My Partner, The Holy Spirit had helped me to understand the purpose. The purpose is for us to have fellowship with one another and also to appreciate one another’s help so that the bond gets stronger and the wearied and weaken get stronger. This also helped to us foster closer teamwork as being part of the complete Body of Christ. Hallelujah! Praise the Lord!

Chapter 1 – Revelation Gift

Based on 1Cor 12:3-13
Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.”

There has been much confusion over the Spiritual Gifts concerning the holy spiritual. Today we’ll talk about the 9 Spiritual Gifts of the Holy Spirit. As a matter of fact, I knew 7 of the Spiritual Gifts had operated in me. However these Spiritual Gifts may had already operated in you and you are not aware of it. The Gifts don’t have to be operated one at time. Sometimes, multiple Gifts can operate together at the same time. Last night Gift of Knowledge came to me and 3 who are deaf are being healed, this morning the same is going to be happened. Some people said to me that I have spiritual gifts. No, that is not correct! We have to be get this terminology correct, Spiritual Gifts belongs to God, it don’t belong to Man. It is the Holy Spirit who have the Spiritual gifts that operated in me. There are 3 categories of the Spiritual Gifts, THE REVELATION GIFT, THE POWER GIFT AND VOCAL GIFT, now we start with Revelation Gift, go to Chapter 2 for Power Gift and Chapter 3 for Vocal Gift.

1. Words of Wisdom

Have you come across where at certain situation, you don’t know what to say or do? Then what of sudden, out of nowhere, you said or do something that solved the problem. You said to yourself “Wow, where did that come from?” Human intelligent could not apprehend the situation and is not aware that it came from the word of Wisdom from the Holy Spirit.
Elijah fed by the ravens
1King 17:2-7 “And the word of the LORD came unto him, saying, Get thee hence, and turn thee eastward, and hide thyself by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan. And it shall be, that thou shalt drink of the brook; and I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there. So he went and did according unto the word of the LORD: for he went and dwelt by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan.And the ravens brought him bread and flesh in the morning, and bread and flesh in the evening; and he drank of the brook. And it came to pass after a while, that the brook dried up, because there had been no rain in the land.”

This provision of food brought by ravens is supernatural. Then Elijah, the prophet went on to met the Widow.

Elijah and the widow of Zarephath 1King 17:8-16 “And the word of the LORD came unto him, saying, Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee.So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, behold, the widow woman was there gathering of sticks: and he called to her, and said, Fetch me, I pray thee, a little water in a vessel, that I may drink. And as she was going to fetch it, he called to her, and said, Bring me, I pray thee, a morsel of bread in thine hand. And she said, As the LORD thy God liveth, I have not a cake, but an handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse: and, behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die. And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son. For thus saith the LORD God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the LORD sendeth rain upon the earth. And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah: and she, and he, and her house, did eat many days. And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by Elijah.
The word of Wisdom operated through Elijah, even though he knew that she and her son is going to die by consuming the food, he still ask for it. Then what happened next is that the flour was not used up nor did the jar of oil run dries. And she can prepare thousands of meal, all because she is willing to listen and obey Elijah.

Last time when my Father went to India for his ministry. He is 88 yrs old now. One of the Church member’s son had died. And this pastor said that he don’t believe in Healing. But the father trust the son to him and he becomes alive after prayer. Then the pastor wondered if he is doing the right thing. Then quick as a flash, word of wisdom came to my father and he said why don’t you ask the child whether you are doing the right thing?
Another example is in John Chapter 8, you all know the story of a woman caught in adultery. John 8:3: And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst, John 8:4-11 They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou? This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not. So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground. And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
The Word of Wisdom came to Jesus “He that is without sin among you, let hime first cast a stone at her.” This word of wisdom set the Woman free, when Jesus said that he “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.”

2. A word of knowledge

A word of knowledge is supernatural information that is not available to human mind about certain condition of a situation.

2 King Chapter 6 2nd King has the best example of the word of knowledge. Well, you said that is old testament. Yes, that is true but it is the same Holy Spirit who has been active not just in new testament day but also in Old testament days. Let me said a strong word today for a man who has been administrating for the past 30 over years. There are many people around the world today who would said that they don’t need Old testament anymore. That is a lie. No one has cut the old testament out of the Bible. Well, there are people who say that new testament came to replace the old testament and that is not true eitheir. New testament as a matter of fact came to fulfill the old testament. Are you all getting into the spirit this morning? Because there are grievous wolf who will come and they are around now. They are around now in this part of the world and also on my part of the world. They would say grievous thing that will discourage the elate and persuaded that what they believe is not true because they are trying to take the blood of Jesus away. You know as I pray today, I talked about the blood of Jesus. There are many denominations that are taking out the mention of the blood of Jesus because they don’t want the people to be offended. But I’ve got news for you, without the shedding of blood of Jesus, there will be no redemption. Without the shed blood of Jesus, you will not be Christian. Thank God for the shed blood of Jesus. Don’t allow any false prophet speak into your life. Don’t walk away from them. Run away from them. We as a Christian must stand up for the Bible.
Lift up your Bible and say
“This is my Bible.
I am what it say I am.
I have what it say I have.
I can do what it say I can do.
From Genesis to Revelation, every word is inspired by the Holy Spirit.
Now everyone give a shout for the Lord. Wow”

2King 6:10-12 And the king of Israel sent to the place which the man of God told him and warned him of, and saved himself there, not once nor twice. Therefore the heart of the king of Syria was sore troubled for this thing; and he called his servants, and said unto them, Will ye not shew me which of us is for the king of Israel? And one of his servants said, None, my lord, O king: but Elisha, the prophet that is in Israel, telleth the king of Israel the words that thou speakest in thy bedchamber.”

Every battle plan of Syria is being make known to Elisha. And the Syria King was very angry and he thought that there is spy within his camp.

John 4:7-19 “There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink. (For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.) Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans. Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water. The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water? Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle? Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw. Jesus saith unto her, Go, call thy husband, and come hither. The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said unto her, Thou hast well said, I have no husband: For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly. The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.”
Thus the word of knowledge was given to Jesus when he told the Samaria woman that she have 5 husbands and the one that she currently have is not her husband. Samaria woman is half-breed during that time, there is racial barrier. The Jews look down on Samaria and yet Jesus asked water from her and tell her that if she had known him, she would have asked water from him because whoever drink the water from him will never thirst again and shall have everlasting life. There is so many Racial barrier in our modern day but yet, Our Lord Jesus had already broken that barrier long time ago when he talk to Samaria woman. Immediately, she proclaim that Jesus is the Prophet.

While preaching in Africa. I received a phone call from President of Zambia, he invited me to his country. I met him at the Palace and since he is a Christian, we all bend down our knee and pray. The President invited me to Hold a National Healing crusade. I was very thrill when God give a word of knowledge which I didn’t understand and don’t want to receive. Tell the president’s wife that she had stomach condition which God want to heal. Are you sure God, I just got invited for National Healing crusade, I don’t want to jeopardized my invitation to the National Healing Crusade. What if whatever I said is not correct? I asked God if he really want me to tell this to President’s wife. Sometime we don’t understand the word of knowledge given to us and we just have to obey the Holy Spirit. So I told her and she was completely amazed with tears in her eyes that how is it possible that she had stomach condition for 3 years, and been hospitalized, had surgery and just won’t heal the stomach problem, and how is it that I knew her condition. That day I prayed for her and she was immediately cured. Now, that is the operation of the word of knowledge.

3. Discerning Spirits

Now, what I said is discerning spirits. Not discerning of faults. Have you come across people who likes to point out other people’s faults? What I am talking about is the discerning of spirits. Have you ever experience when you stepped into a room, suddenly the room felt cold or when you shake hand with someone and just want to let go the hand as soon as possible because you felt something is wrong with this person? Now, that is the operation of the discerning of spirits.

Acts 16:13-18 “And on the sabbath we went out of the city by a river side, where prayer was wont to be made; and we sat down, and spake unto the women which resorted thither. And a certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, which worshiped God, heard us: And when she was baptized, and her household, she besought us, saying, If ye have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house, and abide there. And she constrained us. And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying: The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation. And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.

Paul been passing the place many times and this woman been said “These man are the servants of the Most high God, who proclaim to us the way of salvation” She did it for many day until Paul was greatly annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.” And he came out that very hour.”
There is a man speaking false tongue barking like a dog. His mouth is foaming. Then I commanded in Jesus name to the spirit to come out. Immediately, the bad spirit left the man and fell back. Then when he comes around, he ask for altar call. Then, I said to Lord Jesus that I had not conduct my preaching yet, how could I do altar call. But the Holy Spirit within me asked me to do altar call. So I did, on that day a thousand people received salvation. They responded because they see the spirit come out of the man.

Now that is the operation of the discerning of spirit. And that will happened to believer and when that happened you have to ask God what you trying to say to me and what you want me to do about it? And I can assure you that God will show you how to deal with the situation.

Acts 19:11- 12 And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul. So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.
Acts 3:3 -12 Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms. And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us. And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them. Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God. And all the people saw him walking and praising God: And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him. And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon’s, greatly wondering. And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?

I remembered during a healing session, a man had back problem for 25 years. And I laid my hand on him and I felt the spirit come on him. But I knew he was sick for a long time, it would be difficult for him to do what I said. Because when you got sick, sickness seems to pull you down. And it is hard for the man to pull himself up. That’s why Peter and John lifted the man up. And then I said to the man to bend over but he said he cannot, that’s why he came for prayer. Then I told him would you stop saying you cannot bend over and start somewhere. Healing , sometimes is not instantaneous, it takes over a period of time. So he bend over a few times, a big smile come to his face. Healing is a process and each time it get better and better. Those are the operation of the Gifts of healing.
I was telling pastors about the story. I must tell you the story because I am going to Taiwan soon, to tell the same story. Many years ago when Taiwan was known as Formosa, sometime in 1950, Chan Kai Shek was the leader of the country at that time, I am sure this will ring the bell to many of you. And they are having a crusade in the indoor stadium, my father method was always laying on hands, God manifested the word of knowledge to me but use his hand and still does and there were not many Miracles happening, and the government had put a ring of soldiers around to protect the crusade and crowd and not many miracle happened. So my father kept asking why. The minister said to my father that Chinese do not like to be touched. Then a woman came with a large growth at the neck as big as a man’s fist, my father give it a touch and it instantly disappear right in front of their eyes. It changed everything, You want to know who is next in line for prayer? All the two hundred soldiers. Because they saw the miracle of the operation of the Gifts of healing. Last night, I have people turn and face each other and I reminded them that it is written in the bible scripture mentioned that they shall lay hand on the sick and they shall recover, that is the operation of the Gift of healing.

2. Working of Miracles

Working of miracle is supernatural intervention by the Holy Spirit to change or alter a situation. Look at Moses in the book of Exodus, bringing ten plaques on the Egyptians, look at Joshua in Chapter 10 when Israel is loosing the Battle and they need more daylight and Joshua spoke to the Sun and commanded it to stay still and it did, that was the working of the miracles.
I’ll tell you the modern day working of miracles. It is this church. You start working with 20 people and now 20,000 without the working of Miracles this won’t happened. Talk about the working of the Miracle, you have seen it this morning, and it is growing and growing and why? Singapore is strategically and Geographically located in the right place to be a door opener to Asia. And God is going to use you, he is going to use this Church because time is running short. There is a great evangelism of the soul that is coming to the Kingdom and this church is right where it already is, right in the middle of the Asia. That’s why God had manifested in this man and through those who gathers around him because in the natural, you can’t start with 20 people and now you have 20,000. It doesn’t happen except by the working of the Miracles, Let’s give the Praise to the Lord by clapping.

3. Gift of faith

The Gift is something supernatural that takes over when your faith has run its course. When you seems not to be able to believe anymore, God will switch in the operation of Gift of faith so that you can believe. Like a supercharger of a racer car or the afterburner of a fighter jet. When the supercharger or afterburner kicks in, a magnificent increase in speed. It is the same with the Gift of Faith. How many of you had faced the same situation where your faith seemingly cannot believe anymore and suddenly a surge come into your heart and you said Oh yes I can believe this, Oh yes, it can happen, Oh yes it will happen. I didn’t believe that it will happen but now I know that it will happen. After that you wonder where did that came from? That is from the Holy Spirit.
One example is Abraham, when he takes his own son Isaac in the book of Genesis, where he tie him up and wanted to kill him. You can imagine what would your faith be if God were to tell you to kill your first born, and you can imagine what Abraham would have felt. A Gift of faith begins to manifest in him as he said when he got to the mountain because he said, “We are going up and we are coming down.” In the Human situation he would have said “We are going up and I am coming down.” That is the operation of the Gift of Faith. When the manifestation of the Gift of faith is in the live of a Christian, it is dangerous to the Devil who is sitting here this morning. You came here not to have a pad on your shoulder but you came here for the manifestation of the word of God. There is hell out in the street and in this country and God had raised you up at this moment, at this hour and at this time. God will deliver the Gift of faith to his believer in his timing, not yours. I have told God when to do it, I have told God how to do it, I have told God where to do it, I have told God who to do it too and he has never do it the way I want it done. He does it his way. His way is the Best. God’s way is better than your way.

 Chapter 3 – Vocal Gift

1. Gift of Prophecy

The Gift of Prophecy is hearing what God is saying and deliver it. Prophecy points the way, Prophecy gives direction, for edification and comfort. It literally points the way. 1977 a word of Prophecy come me that I will be in the Healing ministry. No one knew that I would have dream of the Healing ministiry. No one knew that I will be in the healing ministry. I have not told anyone and the word of prophecy has to come from a woman whom I didn’t like. I had to apologized to God and I had to apologized to her. A woman is prophesying that God is going to use me in the healing ministry. She said that God will manifest a word of knowledge to you. I didn’t know what the word of knowledge means. But God did and God had told her and she told me. And every word that she prophesied came to pass in my life. This is a pathetic Church because God is speaking to you a direction for Asia. Every week when you gather together, God is giving you new information, new direction, he is giving you new battle plan, a new outlook on this side of the world. And then to spring forward to other nation after that. It is pathetic church, a pathetic work. Why? Because we’re living in the last days. God is wrapping this age up. Some of us maybe well be alive when the rapture of the church occurs. And my friend, I believe in the rapture of the church. I know there are those who don’t believe it but I believe in what the Bible said. I’ll stick my life on the Bible, the bible said there will be a glorious appearance, the Church will be rapture and the dead in Christ will raise first. We said how is he going to handle that? To those who has been buried , those who has been cremated and those who had their body done with all sort of things that we have to build something else and how is he going to handle that? Well, I’ve got news for you, he is God and he can do whatever he wants. I’ve got news for you, write this down. This is worth the entire trip to church this morning. Write this down, it is very important. If you had missed everything that I had said don’t miss this, this is the most important. Are you ready to write it down? Here it is. GOD IS IN CHARGE AND I AM NOT! write it down. When God said jump, you and I have to say hi hi all the way up. He is in charge, this is his Church. We are simply a steward in it. Yes I am a President of a major university with over 5,000 students and it is credited on every level. Yes, I am a cheap Executive Officer. Yes I have power. But it is not my University, it is God’s University. I am just a cheap steward. I am just the local pastor of that University. God is in charge, he makes the agenda, he sets the battle plan and he tells me what to do. And I say, Yes Sir, I’ll do it. Don’t you ever messed. Yes, I messed up all the time because I am a human being, I make mistakes. I am glad the newspaper didn’t know anything about me that I know. Have ever make a mistake put you your hand up, Have you ever make more than two mistake put up both hand. Don’t worry, I am not going to ask you to put up both legs. We’re human being, we make mistakes. But the Bible said, we have this treasure in this earthen vessel. And God works through people. Short, tall, thin, fat, good looking, not so good looking. God works through people. He loves people, he gives his son to die for people for the lost.

2. Gift of tongue and 3. Interpretation of tongue

This will help you to help Christian who do not have the daily life of dealing with the Holy Spirit. They love the Lord, they gave their life to Christ but they are not what we call Charismatic. I am not trying to be critical this morning but I am trying to help you. I am giving this message to you this morning and all the minister all over the world that God prophesied over me that I will be the bridge builder between denominational group who believe in the Holy Spirit activity and others who do not believe and yet they still love God. God is using me as an eye opener for them.
Now we shall deal with Gift of tongue and interpretation of tongue. This two must be deal with togther because when one manifested in you, the other will too. The Gift of tongue and interpretation of tongue is sovereign. It is different from your daily devotional prayer language. Right in the middle of prayer and worship, the musicians stopped pray out aloud in tongue and all of Pastor Kong stewards and all stewards began to pray in tongue. Every born again believer has the right to pray in tongue. Why ? Because when you’ve got saved, the Holy Spirit came in, the bible said and borne witness with your spirit that you are born again. Every born again believer has the Gift of tongue, you cannot get saved without the Holy Spirit. So when the believe get saved, the Holy Spirit comes into your heart and every born again believer has the right to pray in tongue. That is NOT the Gift of tongue and Interpretation of tongue. What we did this morning is to pray congressionally in tongue.

Roman 8:26 – 27 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
We can all pray in tongue at will. And we can pray in tongue then in English and the Devil has no Idea of what is being prayed.
I remembered I prayed for a man who was in a coma, there were tubes and wires running in and out of his body, his family grab on me like I was a life preserver in the pacific ocean. There is the man, and I didn’t know what to do. I look at him and start to pray in tongue, then I stopped and then when I prayed in English, and as I prayed in English God showed me where I was to lay my hand on him and how I was to pray and say in english. When I pray in english God gives me direction, he awaken and was no longer in coma. That was the benefit in praying in tongue. I did not pray in tongue because I can pray better than anyone else. I prayed in tongue because I need help. I don’t know what to pray for as I always asked. Paul told us that “Out of my Valley, Jesus say shall flow river of living water. He was speaking of the Holy Spirit and every born again believer has the right to pray in tongue and that is not the operation of the Gift of tongue. That is just a devotional daily prayer. Did you received something from the Lord. You’ll find that from time to time, God will manifest different gifts to you. It may seem strange and unusual to you. Here is what you’ll do, ask “What are you trying to show me and what do you want me to do in Jesus name.” I enjoyed teaching of the Gifts of the Spirit. I was raised to be rebellious. Not to be offer attention, not to be offer some different kind of doctrine that separate from the Bible. And that is what you want to be. You don’t want to be impressed by separate doctrine. I know there are those who live on the edge all the time. I don’t want to be on the edge, I want to be right down in the middle. Before I pray for you, I want to tell you a story and I think it is appropriate.
Back in 1800, Well Fargo was looking for drivers for their state coach. They have to drive above 12,000 ft to reach another states. And the drivers brat to each other, saying how close they can get to the edge of the road. One young man wanted to withdraw his application. And being asked why, he said he want to drive only on the middle. He don’t want to risk his life at the edge. Then Well Fargo man hired him saying that this is the type of driver he want. Many lives were lost because people are driving to the edge. So the message is “Don’t live at the Edge of your life!” But walk in the middle where God is in control. Now all just pray, Praise the LORD, Hellelujah !

Empty Vases Makes the most noise

“Empty Vase makes the most noise”

That is some old saying, when you hit the vase that is empty, it will makes more noise than those that is filled with water. That applys to us, meaning that people who are empty minded tends to makes most noise, be boastful as though they knew a lot of things, just as it is, if you filled up this vase. The noise is lesser, because the more intelligent,cunning kind will kept quiet and speak out loud when it is more profitable for them.

Well, for Biblical application, we can look at it in another way, that the vase represents the human heart. When oneself is empty of the goodness of the Holy Spirit. He tends to makes a lot of noise out of Jealousy, anger, vengeful, discontented, and no goodness will come out of the mouth. So for a human heart that is empty of the Holy Spirit, it is slowly, but surely will be filled with worldly desire, materialism and this person may not makes much noise but harbors ill intentions.
So who is a more dangerous person? The one that complains a lot or the one who is very quiet, but harbors evil thoughts?
Another old saying “A barking dog doesn’t bite!” That is right; the dog that doesn’t bark will bite you viciously. The Bible also advised us to stay away from such people. So how can the person hear God’s calling? Especially where our Lord Jesus said
Re:3:20: “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”
How can a person, being noisy internally able to hear our Lords calling? I remembered bumping into my colleagues a few time while on the way to office and I greeted them “Good Morning” but they did not return the greetings. Why are they so unfriendly? Now I found out, this is because they have earpiece plugged to their ear, listening to Songs from Mobile phone or MP3. No wonder they didn’t return my greetings. Their pair of ears and mind is full of music noise, so whatever good greeting from outside. They CAN’T hear. That proved the point.
If we are noisy inside us, we can’t hear nor pay attention to other people, especially our Lord’s calling. This applies to Christian also, sometimes, we lost focus on our Lord Jesus, Our SELF takes control of our action, that SELF CONTROL without the Holy Spirit (The Helper) becomes NOISE and we can’t hear instructions from Our Lord Jesus, thus not being able to do God’s will. Not doing God’s will, will be met with lots of obstacle, unclear direction and also causing problems not to own self but to others people.
So, where do we go from here? Either you are filled by the Holy Spirit in your Heart, which will gives you all the Goodness such as Love, faith, grace, humble, etc or be filled with worldly desires, mixture of good and bad, anger, jealousy, evil thought, vengeful, etc. So make your choice today my friend, you can either be Empty Vase making the most noise or be filled with Holy Spirit, THE HELPER ie. Receiving Salvation from Lord Jesus so that all goodness will come out of you, sharing blessing and Gospel like spreading light in the darkness, like kindled fire warming every cold corner of the earth. Mark 10:14 “But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.”
Mark 10:15 “Verily I say unto you, whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter herein.”
Unless one is as humble as little children, he cannot enter the Kingdom of Heaven. On the same token, he can’t hear the voice of Our Lord Jesus because he is far away from GOD.
He needs the Holy Spirit to come into him to help him suppress the “Noisy Self” and remove the worldliness completely not once but constantly through prayer and cleansing with our Lord Jesus’ Blood.

Man Seeking Wisdom

God created earth and Wind,
The wind blows from North to South.
East to West as it pleases.
Man knows nothing about how the wind moves.
It comes and goes as it pleases.
Sometimes it cools the heated mother earth.
Sometimes it fans the wild raging forest fire.
Making the fire grow wilder, destroying homes and
lives in its path of wrath.
For mankind is powerless against it.
He can’t contain it nor chase after it.
Trying to find out where and when the wind blow,
Is like seeking wisdom from God.
Silly man will try to chase after the wind.
He would said “Here comes the wind!”
He said “I want to catch it by chasing”
North, he goes chasing after the wind.
South, he goes chasing after the wind.
East, he goes chasing after the wind.
West, he goes chasing after the wind.
But he becomes a broken down man all too soon!
Because he catches Nothing!
Wisdom from God is not for man to seek.
It is for man to ask from God in prayer and it will be given as gift.
Would you waste your time waiting for maple leaves to drop from the Tree?
Or would you collect maple leaves with proper planning?
For God had created the Seasons and time for everything.
Wiseman who had gotten wisdom from God will gathers maple leaves
during the correct season, the falls; abundantly!”

Mattew 7:7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock and it will be opened to you.”
Was Uriah Heep song depicting a man’s acknowledgement of the only way, the only way to real wisdom is through Lord Jesus but as the song depicted people chosen the easy way in the end… very sad.
