Why not Sugar and Darkness?

Chapter 1 – Sugar and Salt

Why not sugar and darkness?

Matthew 5:13-16, Jesus tells his disciples, “You are the salt of the earth” and “You are the light of the world.”

Yes, we had read these words in the Bible, heard in Church sermons many times and sing about it many times. I was just wondering “Why not sugar and darkness?” I had already wanted to write this article to try to explain why our Lord Jesus use Salt as a required element of a Christian instead of sugar and while the other element is light (which is pretty obvious). A few months ago, I had already want to write about it but I confessed 🙂 , partly is due to my laziness, but on the other hand, I also realised that our Holy Spirit wanted me to delay for a little while, till I had received more of the Rhema words from Abba father Jesus. Many thanks to Pastor Kong Hee and Pastor Tan E.P. for their teaching on the Songs of Solomon. The knowledges that I had gained from the BS seems to have completed the installments of the knowledge needed for this article.

I once told my friend Freddy Heng about my intention to write this article to try to answer the daunting question “Why not sugar and darkness?” Freddy told me this “Stanley, do you know one thing? If you burn sugar, it will become charcoal because it contains carbohydrate while salt can never burn out.” So, this morning, 14th June 2009, I did an experiment by putting some sugar and salt through extreme fire just to prove the point. As you can see in the video below; the sugar had became a useless heep of carbon while the salt never burn out and is still a useful salt; the fire did nothing to it and in fact is being further purified by the burning away of impurities. That is some revelation huh? Being a Christian, you are called to be the salt for the earth, becoming more useful for the Kingdom of God as you passed through fire. Let’s us study further into Salt and sugar and then we’ll talk about light and darkness in the second chapter.

Part 1 – Usefulness of Sugar.

a) What is sugar and how it help our body function?

Sugar is a basic carbohydrate that every healthy body need for energy. Put another way, sugar is an essential fuel for muscles, internal organs, and first-rate brain function.
The natural sugar you buy at the grocery store has only 15 calories a teaspoon. People gain weight by taking in more calories than they burn over the course of a day. Obesity is the result of eating too much food, especially those with a high caloric content. Sugar is converted immediately into the fuels a body needs.

Sugar is a chemical combination of Carbon, Hydrogen and Oxygen and refers to a large group of carbohydrates that are soluble in water, sweet to the taste and either directly or indirectly fermentable. Depending on how the Carbon, Hydrogen and Oxygen are combined or uncombined, we get sucrose (cane or beet sugar), glucose or dextrose (grape sugar), maltose (malt sugar), fructose, levulose (honey or fruit sugar), lactose (milk sugar), etc.

Sugar is virtually devoid of any key vitamins and minerals. Sugar contains 16 calories per teaspoon but has no B vitamins, chromium, magnesium, zinc or other trace minerals that the body needs to digest and metabolize it. Thus, to fully move the sugar through your digestive system, you body has to take B vitamins and other trace minerals from the healthy the food you eat, or from vitamins and minerals that your body is storing for future use. As a result, the sugar essentially robs your body of these beneficial nutrients. . Your body could be using these nutrients for more important purposes such as fighting infections, warding off allergies, or just plain energy.

Sugar gums up the immune system. Your immune system is made up of numerous antibodies who act like Pacman and attack foreign invaders. Medical studies have found that antibody production drops after people have as little as 18 grams of sugar, about as much as you’d find in half of a can of regular soda. Sugar interferes with the cells of the immune system. Eating just 3 oz of sugar can result in a 50% reduction of the ability of the white blood cells to gobble up and kill viruses and bacteria for up to five hours.

Ingesting sugar can cause a significant rise in triglycerides, cause kidney damage, reduce helpful high density fats (lipoproteins) and promote and elevation of the harmful low density fats and all those problems associated with vitamin deficiencies. Due to the need to use up your body’s minerals, eating sugar can cause a chromium deficiency, copper deficiency, and can interfere with absorption of calcium and magnesium. an imbalance which can cause hyperactivity, anxiety, concentration difficulties.

People need a calcium-magnesium ration of 10 to 4. Sugar causes the phosphorus and calcium levels to either decrease or increase. If one increases the other decreases and vice versa. Researchers have found that ingesting sugar increases the rate at which we excrete calcium. It pulls the calcium from our bones and tissues.

Minerals are essential to many bodily functions. They are important for bones and teeth, helping to maintain the correct acidity of the blood, have specific functions in the transmission of nerve impulse and others are important in the process of digestion.

b) So how to ensure good balance of sugar (glucose) in our body?

Exercise to burn fat. “Burning fat” or “fat-burning” means using stored fat as a fuel to support body function, whereas reducing total body fat (which is what most people desire when they say that they want to “lose weight”) involves burning more calories each day (whether from stored fat or stored glucose) than are replaced by calories consumed as food. In a large part, weight loss is achieved by meeting this goal, often with the assistance of exercises that burn fat and exercises that build muscle (because muscle cells burn more calories at rest than do fat cells).

c) What Is High Blood Sugar?

The blood glucose level is the amount of glucose in the blood. Glucose is a sugar that comes from the foods we eat, and it’s also formed and stored inside the body. It’s the main source of energy for the cells of our body, and it’s carried to each cell through the bloodstream.

d) Artificial sugar is needed for the diabetics.

The alternative to using a natural or refined sugar is to use a reduced calorie sweetener. There are five major reduced calorie sweeteners on the market today. These are Acesulfame Potassium (Acesulfame-K), Aspartame, Saccharin, Stevia, and Sucralose. Are these sweeteners really worth it? While there are many anecdotal reports of negative side effects, none of these have been confirmed through scientific investigation. In contrast, there is no anecdotal evidence whatsoever linking consumption of natural sugars such as fructose, honey, lactose, etc. with cancers, tumors, headaches, or other problems other than diabetes. Many diabetics use the glycemic index to control their food intake, and virtually many natural (unrefined) sugars fall within acceptable ranges for consumption based on those guidelines.

When a diabetic mother’s glucose level is high during pregnancy, the baby can receive too much glucose and grow too large, according to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. This baby was born by an Indonesian woman has given birth to an 8.7-kilogramme (19.2-pound) baby boy, the heaviest newborn ever recorded in the country, a doctor said Wednesday 23/9/2009.

Are the potential risks worth the small benefit you may or may not be receiving from artificial sweeteners? Learn to let sugar work with you, not against you!

Ex:30:34: And the LORD said unto Moses, Take sweet spices, stacte and onycha and galbanum, and pure frankincense with these sweet spices; there shall be equal amouts of each. You shall make of these an incense, a compund according to the art of the perfumer, salted, pure and holy.

As we can see here, sweet spices with pure frankincense are used for making incense and burn off. Laterally some people may say that this is representing burning off one’s faith? Not quite the right meaning. What it means is that all the offering burning has to be done with faith and this gives off the sweet Aroma to God. It is faith offerings.

Part 2 – Usefulness of Salt.

a) How Salt Became Sodium Chloride.

With the advent of industrial development, natural salt was “chemically cleaned” and reduced to the combination of sodium and chloride. Essential minerals and trace elements were removed as impurities. However, sodium chloride is an unnatural, isolated, unwholesome substance having nothing in common with salt. Similar to white, refined sugar, salt, once regarded as white gold, was converted into white poison. However, there is a higher reason for salt having been endowed with all the natural elements found in our bodies. Sodium chloride is an aggressive substance, which biochemically, is perpetually seeking an equalizing counterpart, so that the body’s pH can always remain neutral. Sodium chloride needs its natural counterpart in order for it to produce its effect. The natural counterparts, such as potassium, calcium, magnesium and other minerals and trace elements, demonstrate, from a biophysical standpoint, specific frequency patterns. These patterns ensure the geometric structures in our body. When these structures are missing, we are without energy and are lifeless. Salt should not be used just to add favor to our food, but for its vibration pattern, which is similar to our body! So Salt has a very vital function in our life but natural salt is even better for our health, let’s take a look at Himalayan Crystal Salt.

b) What is Himalayan Crystal Salt?

Himalayan Crystal Salt is more than sodium and chloride. Himalayan Crystal Salt can actually be viewed as food. When we speak of salt, we mean salt in its original form: holistic, wholesome, unaltered, natural salt, as it has crystallized in the Earth over millions of years. When we speak of  “table” salt that is sold in the supermarket, we refer to it as sodium chloride with additives, which is what it really is. Natural Himalayan crystal salt contains all the elements of which the human body is comprised. From the periodic table of elements we are familiar with 94 natural elements (stable as well as unstable). Apart from inert gases, all of these elements can be found in crystal salt. Hence, crystal salt contains all natural minerals and trace elements that are found in the human body. We perceive crystal salt as being the totality of all natural elements. So, we can see that it actually has life-generating power for the body and for our nervous system since it contains all the elements for our body.

c) Dr William H. Schuessler study and development of tissue salts.

The concept of Biochemic Salts, also known as tissue salts, were developed by Dr William H. Schuessler, a German physician, in the late 1800’s. He recognized that the twelve of the inorganic salts found in us have specific physiologic functions. He maintained that these tissue salts or “cell salts” are vital mineral constituents of the body. They combine with organic substances in the body to produce and maintain the infinite number of cells and tissues of which the human body is composed. Thus, any cell salt deficiency or imbalance may result in an illness and manifestations of a set of symptoms in body. Dr. Schuessler found that if the body was lacking in any of these salts, loss of health occurred. And if this deficiency was corrected with homeopathically (micro-doses) preparation of these salts, the body could in fact, heal itself.

Types of Tissue Salts and their Usefulness to Body System.

CALC FLUOR (Calcium Fluoride) elasticity, haemorrhoids & varicose veins
CALC PHOS (Calcium Phosphate) bone health & anaemia
CALC SULPH (Calcium Sulphate) blood cleaner & skin disorders
FERR PHOS (Ferrum Phosphate) inflammation, fevers, redness & throbbling
KALI MUR (Potassium Chloride) glandular tonic & congestion KALI PHOS (Potassium Phosphate) nerve nutrient & tonic
KALI SULPH (Potassium Sulphate) skin ailments & poor hair condition
MAG PHOS (Magnesium Phosphate) nerve & muscle relaxant
NAT MUR (Sodium Chloride ) water distributor & fluid balancer
NAT PHOS (Sodium Phosphate) acid neutralizer, acidity, indigestion & heartburn
NAT SULPH (Sodium Sulphate) water eliminator & liver tonic
SILICA (Silica ) cleanser & conditioner, hair, skin & nails

d) What are the adverse effect of having too much salt?

High sodium intake and blood pressure
The scientific literature linking sodium intake to blood pressure is extensive and dates back more than 100 years. Populations with a high average salt intake have a higher average blood pressure and higher levels of hypertension (high blood pressure). Australians consume more than double the amount of sodium that is recommended to prevent cardiovascular disease.

Reducing the amount of salt you have will lower high blood pressure – the extent depends on your age and blood pressure. People with high blood pressure, diabetes or chronic kidney disease, and those who are older or overweight, are particularly susceptible to the effect of too much sodium on blood pressure. However, sodium reduction may not lower blood pressure in younger people with low or normal blood pressure.

High sodium intake and other health conditions
Excessive sodium intake has also been linked to other conditions, such as:

  1. Heart failure.
  2. Kidney problems and kidney stones.
  3. Oedema.
  4. Stroke.
  5. Gastric cancer.
  6. Left ventricular hypertrophy.
  7. Osteoporosis

A high level of salt intake increases the amount of calcium excreted in the urine, which may also contribute to osteoporosis and increased risk of fracture.

The balance of sodium and water in the body can also be disrupted if there is not enough water. This may be caused by a damaged thirst mechanism or by limited access to water. Hypernatremia is a very serious condition that occurs when your sodium levels rise above 145mEq/L. It can lead to death. A major symptom is thirst and treatment usually involves controlled water replacement.

e) Salt loss is rare but can be dangerous

The body loses salt through urine, perspiration, vomiting and diarrhoea. If too much salt is lost, the level of fluid in the blood will drop. Hyponatremia is a condition that occurs when the sodium in your blood falls below the normal range of 135-145 milliequivalents per litre (mEq/L). In severe cases, low sodium levels in the body can lead to muscle cramps, nausea, vomiting and dizziness. Eventually lack of salt can lead to shock, coma and death.

Severe salt loss is very unlikely to happen because our diets contain more than enough salt. The only time this is likely to occur is when someone has acute gastroenteritis (causing vomiting and diarrhoea), severe sweating or water intoxication (from drinking too much water).

Part 3 – Biblical message use of Salt and its meaning.

a) Salt is being used purification.

In many cultures, including Japan, salt is used for purification. Sumo wrestlers throw salt in the ring before a match to purify the ring.

In Japan, salt in a pouch is distributed to participants of a funeral. After the funeral, when the participants come back and enter their houses, they have to be sprinkled on themselves with the salt for purification.

Exodus 30:35 “Using the usual techniques of the incense maker, blend the spices together and sprinkle them with salt to produce a pure and holy incense.”

You are like the pure and holy incense after being purified by THE SALT. Every work you do (symbolized by burning incense), will gives out the sweet aroma that is pleasing to God.

Matthew 5:13, Jesus tells his disciples, “You are the salt of the earth”

Go spread the Gospel, so that people can be pure again in the eyes of God. Your spoken words to people must be salted.

b) Salt is being used for preserving goodness.

During Chinese new year, we enjoyed the delicacy of preserved duck and all the other salted products such as salted eggs, vegetables and fish. It is amazing that the goodness of this natural produce is being preserved by the use of Salt.

Genesis 1:27 “So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female, He created them.”

Genesis 1:30 “Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good.”

Then Adam and Eve fall, they had sinned because they had eaten the forbidden fruits. Lord Jesus is our savior. He died for our sin with his blood. His blood is the purifying Salt that not only preserve our goodness with God but also being baptized, he gave us the Helper, our Holy Spirit who would help us not only to built and preserve our own goodness but also be a facilitator (intercede) for THE SALT.

Matthew 5:13, Jesus tells his disciples, “You are the salt of the earth”

Your goodness in you will be felt by people around you. Be a good example and your goodness to people around you is a good testimony for Lord Jesus. Your blessed abundant of goodness from Kingdom of Heaven shall spread to your neighbors like endless stream of spring water even in famine time.

c) Salt is being used for healing purpose.

We already learned the usefulness Himalayan Crystal Salt and Types of Tissue Salts. The other use is crystal salt lamp. According to research, salt crystals emit a neutralizing vibration of around 8Hz frequencies into their immediate environment. So putting a salt crystal lamp next to a high frequency electronic device will bring harmful EMFs into resonance. When the salt crystal lamp becomes warm, it generates healthy negative ions. Through the lamp, the positively charged atmosphere of a room can be neutralized, improving the quality of air we breathe in.

In addition to this, the colours of the salt crystal stones have a healing effect. The therapeutic value of the coloured crystals can reorganize the epidermal layer of our skin. Nevertheless these lamps are often sold as Himalayan Salt Lamp and with claims of their health-promoting properties, have not been substantiated and are generally regarded as pseudoscience.

Pseudoscience is a methodology, belief, or practice that is claimed to be scientific, or that is made to appear to be scientific, but which does not adhere to an appropriate scientific methodology, lacks supporting evidence or plausibility, or otherwise lacks scientific status.

Whenever I had ulcer on my lip, I would rub salt on it till bleed and it is healed. This is one healing ability of salt that don’t need scientific proof, my grandmother methods still work. Also, rubbing salt on meat kills bacterial and germs.

Matthew 5:13, Jesus tells his disciples, “You are the salt of the earth”

Luke 9:6 “So they departed and went through the towns, preaching the gospel and healing everywhere.”

People with grace of God (wisdom) can bring out healing to someone but the unwise will say things that can hurt someone.
Proverbs 12:18 “Some people make cutting remarks, but the words of the wise bring healing.”
Mark 9:50 “Salt is good, but if the salt have loses his its flavor, how will you season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.”
What does this message mean exactly? I would have to use one very prominent example.

The Church had mentioned many times “If one of the member of the family is saved, the whole family will be saved.”
It is Biblical and it is true, many senior in Church had their whole family saved (but not all).

These spoken words were being flavor with salt but allow me to show you 2 scenerios on what actually happened on floor area, it probably would be a shocking revelations for some.

Scenerio A

Christian A, saying to a new Christian, “Great, I am glad that you are here today again. Praise the Lord. So is your family member saved?’
New Christian “Not yet, I am the only Christian in my family.”
Christian A, “It is okay, continue to be in good faith and in constant prayer. I believe strongly that if one member of the family is saved, the whole family will be saved. It takes time, be patience. I would like to see you again next week.”

Scenerio B

Christian B, saying to a new Christian, “Great, I am glad that you are here today again. Praise the Lord. So is your family member saved?’
New Christian “Not yet, I am the only Christian in my family.”
Christian B, “Cannot be! The Church mentioned many times that whenever a family member is saved, the whole family will be saved. Maybe you had not pray hard enough. Okay, hope to see you next week and make sure you bring your family along.”

Christian A had used the words with God’s grace; flavor with salt. The new Christian is being encouraged.

Christian B is prejudice and judgemental and in his or her commment. Do you think that the new Christian will come back? Have we not learned already that God will not forced his will onto anyone? So if the new Christian’s family is not saved, it does not mean that he or she have no faith. In fact, the many Christian has stronger faith then these group of judgemental Christian. (I call them Whitewash Wall Christian). They had make the wisdom words “If one member of the family is saved, the whole family will be save” LOST ITS SALTED FLAVOR!
I like Pastor Kong Hee BS on the Song of Solomon. Especially the part on the different between immatured Christian and matured Christian. I had personally encountered this before. I once said to a Christian brother, “Our Lord Jesus had caused my wife to dream that she was at the seaside and she saw the sea washed ashore with waves of foaming dirty blood. I found the answer in the book by Choo Thomas, Heaven is so Real. The dirty blood is from Lord Jesus’ die on the Cross for many people’s sins.” Then the Christian could only said “You must continue to pray.” This is so childish, so immatured. He talked as though that I have lack in prayer or I don’t pray. This is not the first time he said the same thing to me. I came to know from the word of knowledge “that this Christian, is not a Action man, he only prays” and we all know, Christian who pray but do no works is not doing the will of God. Heard the saying “Talk is Cheap!” A matured Christian knows how to immerse himself in the realm of the Holy Spirit, and they know what appropriate salted words to use (most likely, the matured Christian had already received Words of knowledge from our Holy Spirit). Example, he may said “That is great. I am sure this revelations tells that your wife and family will be saved. I also have a vision…etc” You see, this is exalting one another by sharing of the “hidden mannas from Kingdom of heaven.”.

Part 4 – Conclusion.

Lord Jesus has the Wisdom of God because he is God. Without scientific knowledge he already knew the appropriateness of using Salt as the element required of a believer. Thus the symbolic meaning and revelation is as follows:-

Sugar – Is more for the flesh and blood, it is for energy and for the body enjoyment. Actually, when sugar is first exposed to fire, it forms caramel. Caramel itself is used in the production of ice cream and candies. People who loves sweet. LOlz 🙂 Have to watch your diet, you don’t want to become obese or diabetics. (contributed by Jefri Sanusi Teguh)

Salt – As we had already learned, helps us to be Healing, purified, and preservation of goodness in us . No one is perfect only once upon baptism by the Holy Spirit. So this is a continue process, Healing ==>Purification ==> Preservation  and continue and continue till we reach perfection on the day of Lord Jesus’ second comming. We want to be the Bribe in the Wedding Feast or be the guests who worn right garment (still doing the will of God).

So putting the whole thing together. “You are the Salt of the earth” and every seasoned words (with salt) that you spoke is like honey. “Your lips, O my spouse, drip as he honeycomb; Honey and milk are under your tongue; And the fragrance of your garments is like the fragrance of Lebanon.” Song of Solomon 4″11

Chapter 2 – Darkness and Light

To discuss on this topic of “why not darkness”, I think appropriately, I should ask “Is there any goodness that can be brought out of darkness?”

Let’s study the beginning passage of the Bible, Genesis 1:2-5 “The earth was without form and void, and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Then God said, “Let there be light”; that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day.” So it was, after God bring in light to the earth, we have day and the darkness is being called night.
Let us study another Bible passage Joshua 10:12-13 “Sun, stand still over Gibeon; And Moon , in the valley of Aijalon. So the sun stood still. And the moon stopped. Till the people had revenge upon their enemies.”

Therefore, if the without the Sun stood still, people of Israel would had been defeated by the enermies in darkness.
Thus, this is the symbolic meaning of the Spiritual warfare of every Christian, without the Light in us we will be defeated by the enermies, who lurks in darkness.
Moreover, darkness is universally understood to be associated with evil forces and also most crippy creatures would come out in the midst of the darkness such as snake, rat, owl, foxes etc to kill and rob their prey of their life.
Even thief would normally come in the darkness to rob people. Lord Jesus did come in the darkness as a thief? Read Rev 16:15 “Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.” Some Christian do not understand this passage. “The Garments” represent the righteous things you ought to do in accordance with the will of God. “Watches and keeps his garments” means you continue to watch and focus on doing the will of God. “Lord Jesus will come as thief in at night” (thief always come in the cover of darkness) means while you are sleeping on the job (means not doing the right things with God), your garments will be removed without you knowing and you will walk naked and people will see you ashamed. It is really funny, some Christian had already been exposed by Lord Jesus (through the words of Knowledge and Wisdom) and yet they do not know that they are walking around NAKED!
So is it bad that Lord Jesus came in the cover of darkness to remove people’s garment without them knowing? Understand the symbolic meaning, my friend. At least, the person who came to realised that he or she was uncovered and in nakeness knows and will seek for forgiveness and repent, which is good. In another words, those who continue to wear false Garments (doing work and claimed to be God’s will) will died (spiritually first).
Similar meaning, (Sincere thanks to Pastor Kong Hee for his teaching of Song of Solomon) Isaiah 50:10-11 “Who among you fears the LORD? Who obeys the voice of His Servant? Who walks in darkness and has no light? Let him trust in the name of the LORD and rely upon his God. Look, all you who kindle a fire. Who encircle yourselves with sparks: walk in the light of your fire and the sparks you have kindled – This you shall have from My hand, you shall lie down in torment.”

Let’s take a look at a picture that I had done for one article, you can read by clicking Virtue versus acting innocent.
It has been said, “Picture paints a thousand words.”

You are strongly encouraged to read the above article. Are you chasing after Fame, Money, Power (Authority) or even be seduced by the carrots that were frequently given by the Prostitute and be lured deeper into darkness?

Babylon world past and now

Are you the in-between person, neither in the light nor in darkness but in fact is living in the blurry darkness without knowing. These in-between people have lukewarm relationship with God that after so many years of being a Christian, they do not have dream nor vision and do not know the will of God for them.
God do not like people who are lukewarm! Rev 3:16 “So then, because you are lukewarm, that you are neither cold nor hot. I will vomit you out of My mouth.” This passage means, people who are lukewarm will be throw out of Kingdom of Heaven. Some people may not understand this. What do you mean that being vomited is being thrown out of Heaven?
Take a look at John 15:4 “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.”
So the word ME means Kingdom of Heaven. If you receive Kingdom of heaven humble as child then the Holy spirit will abide in you and you shall have your forehead stamped with the Seal of God. People who are ambivalent minded too will be vomited out. It is the attitude towards God, especially with regard to messages spoken by people. How can one stay lukewarm? Neither accept it nor reject it? In the eyes of God, he is looking at things from one extreme to another extreme. You just can’t limit God nor contain God by trying to negotiate knowingly or unknowingly to give YOURSELF the flexiblility to do things, the way YOU wanted to be done. Is there God in your heart to take full control of your life, willingly?

This picture below is being reproduced from the sermon by Pastor Kong Hee during the Asia Conference 2008.

Lord Jesus said Matthew 5:13 “You are the light of the world.”

The word “world” means “the Cosmos”, the fallen world that we are living in. We must be “the light” that can shine in any dark place, penetrating even the darkness corner. So “You are the light of the world.” means that you must be able to stand up for the glory of Lord Jesus and people can see visibly by the action and things you speak that has “light” in the darkness. You are not conforming to the activities of the darkness but bring “light” to darkness. You may want to read this article. Asia Conference 2008.

Summary.
Matthew 5:13-16, Jesus tells his disciples, “You are the salt of the earth” and “You are the light of the world.”

The word “earth” and “world.” means different things. “Earth”, as we already learned that man is being created from earth, it is talking about individual. So the meaning of “You are the salt of the earth” is that you must be a purified, preserved with goodness and already been healed true believer so that whatever you do or say is always seasoned by “THE SALT”. You must be of “Good taste” to many people. “World” means the “Cosmos” and you must be already been “Salted” or insulated. i.e. you are walking light as a beacon in the dark sea where everyone can see. You progress from the “1st space”, gone into the “2nd Space” and finally “the 3rd Space” where you will meet important people by invitation. Hallelujah. Praise the Lord.

Now we fully understand, “Why sugar and darkness is not used as an element in Christian life.”
